It has a high amount of healthy mono and polyunsaturated fats. It\u2019s made in a way to increase these fats, as opposed to regular safflower oil which would have fewer fats.\u00a0 In one study which substituted animal fats with safflower oil, there was an increased risk of mortality. According to this published study by University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill:<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/strong>increased the rates of death from all causes, coronary heart disease, and cardiovascular disease\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The study the company uses to support this ingredients use as a belly fat burner, was performed by the Ohio State University:<\/p>\n

\u201cSAF had no effect on BMI or total adipose mass\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

So it did not change the total obesity rate in the people tested. \u00a0It did have some effect on belly fat, but the study mentions:<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were some limitations to our study design\u2026 impairing the possibility to generalize our results to nonobese men and women or to premenopausal nondiabetic women\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since it was only performed on women who were postmenopausal and obese, the study admits more research needs to be performed. Using the small pool of people provided, there\u2019s not enough proof that this ingredient would actually be effective for all body types and people.<\/p>\n

There were not enough considerations made about properly tracking diets. So it\u2019s difficult to truly understand if the reduced belly fat was actually from the ingredient, or id dieting played a role.<\/p>\n
