\"\"<\/a>With a name like Sunshine, Biggest Loser contestant SunShine Hampton<\/a> was destined to shine. And after her inspirational journey on the Biggest Loser season 9, Sunshine’s radiance became more brilliant with each pound she lost and each layer of herself that she peeled away.<\/p>\n

Even though SunShine just missed the final four cut of the NBC reality series, she managed to win for herself a bigger prize than she had ever imagined.<\/p>\n

\u201cI won the biggest prize already. You can\u2019t put a $100,000 price tag on my health and that is what I’ve gained from being on the Biggest Loser,\u201d says SunShine just following her elimination from the Biggest Loser<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Listen here<\/strong> as SunShine discusses how she navigates through the daily challenges of keeping the weight off while at home,\u00a0and how her Biggest Loser family still continues to fuel her with support and motivation despite her elimination.<\/p>\n

\nSince being home, SunShine has had two big thrills: Throwing the first pitch during a home of her beloved Minnesota Twins team and shopping. In fact, her newly-found love of shopping for clothes, styles and sizes she has never before been able to fit, has alarmed this\u00a0Minneapolis native, who upon being eliminated from the Biggest Loser, lost 99 pounds.<\/p>\n

Upon her elimination, she reflected on Jillian Michaels’<\/a> prompting to separate herself from the shadows of her\u00a0dad, O\u2019Neal Hampton<\/a>,\u00a0 and instead walk the weight loss journey with him as opposed to under him.\u00a0She also\u00a0credits Bob Harper for helping her know how to train her body in the gym as well as providing her with the fun and motivation she needed to workout.<\/p>\n

Today at\u00a0home, she is still losing weight and\u00a0is looking forward to the Biggest Loser Finale. She works out with her dad sometimes, but does admit that when they workout together, the throngs of people coming up to them can be a bit of a distraction\u00a0to get in\u00a0a solid sweat.<\/p>\n

In addition,\u00a0SunShine has decided on\u00a0a new career path. She has since quit her job working at Applebee’s, a position she held for eight years, and instead has decided to pursue a career in nursing, helping others and being an advocate for health and wellness.<\/p>\n
