It was created by New Zealand <a title=\"olympic athlete eating habits\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/08\/eating-advice-from-female-olympic-athletes\/\" target=\"_self\">Olympic athlete<\/a>, Les Mills and can be found in gyms throughout the world. BodyFlow is an hour-long class that combines Tai Chi, yoga, <a title=\"pilates\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/topics\/pilates\/\" target=\"_self\">Pilates<\/a>, balance exercises, stretching, relaxation and meditation. New classes are released every three months, with new moves and new music.<\/p>\n<p>Les Mills group exercise classes are held at the gym where I work as a personal trainer.\u00a0After peering through the glass a few times and wondering what the heck they were doing in there I decided to investigate.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The BodyFlow class seemed like a good way to gain flexibility and to work on my mind-body connection.\u00a0I wasn\u2019t sure how much I could do because I have degenerative discs in my lower back. But I\u2019m happy to report that my body is a willing participant and I\u2019ve already noticed improvements in my core strength and range of motion. I\u2019ve been taking the class once a week for about\u00a0six weeks now.<\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t do all of the poses and moves but I\u2019m working on it. I\u2019m not sure I\u2019ll ever be able to do a back bend, but I\u2019m OK with that.\u00a0I even fell asleep once during the meditation and relaxation portion of the class. But I\u2019m sure I\u2019m not the only one!<\/p>\n<p>Body Flow is a pleasant experience. I leave the class feeling relaxed and calm. I highly recommend it.
