The results of this study left me feeling a little uneasy. If athletic ads could have such an impact, so could <a title=\"Fast Food Changes Mood and Behavior\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/05\/fast-food-changes-mood-and-behavior\/\" target=\"_blank\">fast food<\/a> ads.<\/p>\n<p>Protect your sub-conscious and benefit from its amazing capabilities. Remind yourself that you are strong and willful and that you make your <em>own<\/em> lifestyle choices. Surround yourself with positive reminders to eat less and exercise. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Here are a few ways you can do that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Subscribe<\/strong> <strong>to a health or fitness magazine. <\/strong>If the ads and articles are readily available in your home, they&#8217;ll be more likely to affect you.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Follow health and fitness blogs. <\/strong>There are <em>so <\/em>many<em> <\/em>informative and inspiring sites on the internet. If you <a title=\"Biggest Loser Newsletter\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/01\/subscribe-to-the-biggest-loser-newsletter-from-dietsinreview-com\/\" target=\"_self\">sign up for the e-mail newsletters<\/a>, you can&#8217;t help but think about their positive messages every time they send you an e-mail. Obviously, Diets in Review is the best place to start!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clip your favorite fitness-related ads<\/strong> or print similar things from the internet. Ads for fitness products or inspiring quotes and articles are a great way to keep you sub-consciously thinking about your health. Tape them to your pantry, refrigerator, mirror, or anywhere else you think they may catch your eye.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Drive by a gym.<\/strong> Rearrange your route to pass by a fitness center. This could be especially useful before dining out or shopping at the mall, which are\u00a0tempting times for over-indulgence.\u00a0Luckily,\u00a0a lot of malls have <a title=\"A Beginner's Guide to the Gym\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/01\/a-beginners-guide-to-the-gym\/\" target=\"_blank\">gyms<\/a> in or near them.\u00a0 Make a point of peeking inside the gym before you pass the food court.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keep your running shoes out.<\/strong> If you hide your work-out gear in a closet, you&#8217;ll forget about it.
