Among the many to choose from is the pomegranate.<\/p>\n<p>Although\u00a0its health benefits are\u00a0impressive, USA Today and the Federal Trade Commission remind us that <a title=\"POM Wonderful Sued Over False Health Claims\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/09\/pom-wonderful-sued-over-false-health-claims\/\" target=\"_self\">pomegranate isn&#8217;t a cure-all<\/a>.\u00a0Consuming pomegranates\u00a0will give you tons of great health benefits, but it certainly won&#8217;t provide any miracle cures.<\/p>\n<p>Pomegranate seeds and juice provide ample amounts of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vitamin C<\/li>\n<li>Vitamin B5<\/li>\n<li>Potassium<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Top Reasons to Eat Fiber\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/08\/top-reasons-to-eat-fiber\/\" target=\"_blank\">Fiber<\/a><\/li>\n<li><em>Several<\/em> different <a title=\"Alton Brown Promotes Polyphenols for Your Health\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/11\/alton-brown-promotes-polyphenols-for-your-health\/\" target=\"_blank\">polyphenols<\/a><!--more--><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We need more scientific studies to confirm the following information, but until then, add pomegranate or pomegranate juice to any wintry day for a healthy treat! Pomegranates (whole and juiced) provide the following benefits:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Heart Health:<\/strong> Pomegranate\u00a0lowers <a title=\"Cholesterol Facts on the Dr Oz Show\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/10\/cholesterol-facts-on-the-dr-oz-show\/\" target=\"_blank\">cholesterol<\/a> and blood pressure. It also prevents plaque build-up and dangerous clots in the arteries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s Health<\/strong>: When consumed daily for 3 months or more, pomegranate juice\u00a0may combat erectile dysfunction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dental\u00a0Health<\/strong>: Just as pomegranate prevents plaque in the circulatory system, it prevents dental plaque, too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joint Health: <\/strong>Inflammation\u00a0is reduced by compounds found in pomegranate. Although this isn&#8217;t a cure<em> <\/em>for arthritis, it can help to alleviate the symptoms.
