Food served as both a comfort and a defense. Ana says being overweight was &#8220;a way to stay unattractive so I wouldn\u2019t get hurt again.&#8221; Today, however, her extra pounds are causing her a different kind of pain: in her knees and lower back. Ana also suffers from high blood pressure.
