All Weight Watchers members now follow the <a title=\"weight watchers points\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diets\/weight-watchers-pointsplus\/\">Weight Watchers PointsPlus<\/a> program, the biggest update to the plan in 13 years reflecting current research.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Just in time for New Years, Weight Watchers has recently launched a new program called Momentum to help you lose weight, stay in control of your hunger and keep cravings at bay.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/recipes\/italian-turkey-burgers\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3885\" title=\"weight-watchers-turkey-burgers\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/weight-watchers-turkey-burgers.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"216\" height=\"216\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Using the trademarked <a title=\"Weight Watchers Points\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/02\/understanding-weight-watchers-points\/\" target=\"_self\">Weight Watchers Points<\/a> System, Momentum centers around fueling your body with fiber-rich foods, lean proteins and good fats. Certain foods like those high in fiber keep us feeling full longer because it takes longer for the body to digest them. We fall into problems when we&#8217;re dieting when we\u00a0starve ourselves\u00a0and\u00a0let our blood sugar drop. Our knee-jerk reaction then becomes to reach for a quick fix like\u00a0foods that\u00a0contain white sugar or\u00a0refined flours or\u00a0even the\u00a0fast-food\u00a0drive-thru. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Momentum program\u00a0prevents this trap by teaching us how to consume\u00a0meals and snacks that are full of fiber and high in water content. Combined with lean proteins and small amounts of fat, the foods on the Momentum program make us feel full longer and\u00a0give our body the sustained energy it needs to function without experiencing crashes in energy.<\/p>\n<p>The Momentum\u00a0program operates\u00a0just like any other Weight Watchers program from support groups to exercise to weigh-ins. You&#8217;ll have the option to follow it online or via meetings.
