It&#8217;s easy to fall in to a culinary rut, no matter how much you do or don&#8217;t like cooking. Personally, I love cooking. I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s stressful to make dinner, I actually enjoy it. And while a lot of people like taking short-cuts, like buying pre-chopped vegetables or pre-shredded cheese, I enjoy taking on each of those steps in the preparation. But like everyone else, I too seem to serve the same <a title=\"grilled balsamic vegetables\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/recipes\/grilled-balsamic-vegetables\/\" target=\"_self\">roasted veggies<\/a> and salad all. the. time. <a title=\"alexia sweet potato fries\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/12\/we-love-alexia-spicy-sweet-potato-fries\/\" target=\"_self\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-38726\" title=\"alexia sweet potato fries\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/alexia-sweet-potato-fries.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"227\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When I stumbled upon the Alexia food products in my grocer&#8217;s natural food section, I hemmed and hawed over whether to even buy them. I bypassed everything that I know I could easily make myself, and took home a bag of the <a title=\"alexia sweet potato fries\" href=\"http:\/\/alexiafoods.com\/products\/sweet-potatoes\/spicy-sweet-potato-julienne-fries\" target=\"_self\">Alexia Spicy Sweet Potato Fries<\/a>. Why? Because 1) side dishes get monotonous at my house and we needed something new, and 2) I&#8217;ve yet to conquer the sweet potato fry. Mine come out limp, wilty and nothing more than a chunk of mushy sweet potato. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>One evening I prepared panko and herb-crusted tilapia (super easy, just drizzle olive oil on the fillets, then top with a mixture of panko and dried herbs, bake about 15-20 minutes at 350F) and prepared the sweet potato fries with green beans (of which I snapped the ends off myself and steamed). I didn&#8217;t say a word to my husband, and he immediately loved the fries. As usual, he asked how I made them. I very frankly told him that I opened the bag, poured them on the pan and baked them. He was shocked that I&#8217;d bought something pre-made, and more so that they tasted homemade.<\/p>\n<p>The fries are the perfect texture of crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside. What really makes these is the seasoning. My oh my, they&#8217;re too delicious! Cut julienne style and dusted with chipotle spices, cilantro, sea salt, garlic powder and other seasonings, they were the best part of that meal! A generous three-ounce serving has 130 calories and 4 grams of fat. There&#8217;s nothing unrecognizable about their ingredient label either, which I really liked!<\/p>\n<p>Alexia boasts a lengthy line of all-natural frozen food products that include roasted red potatoes with harvest vegetables, yukon gold french fries, artisan breads like ciabatta and French rolls, and appetizers like panko-breaded onion rings and mozzarella stix.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking for a quick, delicious and best of all good-for-you side dish or appetizer to breath new life in to your meals, take a look at Alexia.
