Certain brands make claims like: \u201c20 percent less fat,\u201d \u201cfewer calories than other leading brands,\u201d or \u201chas a full serving of Vitamin C.\u201d While these claims may be true, you never really know if you are picking out the best foods for you and your family. Shopping for the right food can really be a headache, but there are certain foods in all brands that will improve your diet.<\/p>\n<p>Check out this list of foods that should be stocked up in your fridge or cabinets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mangoes<\/strong>: Throw them in a blender for a fruit smoothie, or eat  them plain. Either way, this tropical fruit is rich in Vitamin E and  could help lower the risk of Alzheimer\u2019s and <strong><a title=\"dementia\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/12\/walk-away-from-dementia\/\" target=\"_self\">dementia<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sardines<\/strong>: While these little guys may not look very appetizing, they have low mercury and are a great source of B12 and <strong><a title=\"omega 3 fatty acids\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/12\/benefits-of-omega-3-and-omega-6-fatty-acids\/\" target=\"_self\">omega-3 fatty acids<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prunes<\/strong>: Your grandma is not the only one who should be eating prunes. They are loaded with potassium, which may have a role in lowering blood sugar. Prunes also help with proper cell functioning and can relieve occasional constipation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yogurt<\/strong>: With all the different flavors out there, you can certainly find one you like. <strong><a title=\"yogurt\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/02\/we-love-greek-yogurt\/\" target=\"_self\">Yogurt<\/a><\/strong> is linked to lower blood pressure, less yeast infections and can also strengthen your immune system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beets<\/strong>: Dwight Schrute may have been right all along. Beets can lower blood pressure and have high levels of anti-carcinogens.
