But can this Chinese fast-food chain measure up to the recommendations by\u00a0our\u00a0<a title=\"me first\" href=\"http:\/\/nurtureprinciples.com\/category\/blog\/\" target=\"_blank\">registered dietitian Rebecca Scritchfield<\/a> and the\u00a0<strong><a title=\"sodium guidelines\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/02\/new-dietary-guidelines-address-heart-health-just-in-time-for-american-heart-month\/\" target=\"_self\">new daily sodium recommendations<\/a><\/strong> that all meals contain less than 500 calories and 500 milligrams of sodium? We recently examined the menu to find the healthiest menu options, and were pleasantly surprised with the variability!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Healthiest Meals at Panda Express<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Half an\u00a0Entree\u00a0of Eggplant and Tofu and Half an Order of Steamed Rice. <\/strong>Enjoy this\u00a0veggie-based meal for only 365 calories and 340 calories. If you have a sweet tooth after, you can even indulge in a Fortune Cookie for just another 32 calories and 8 milligrams of sodium.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. <\/strong><strong>Half an\u00a0<strong>Entr<\/strong><\/strong><strong><strong>ee of <\/strong>Orange Chicken and Half an <strong>Entree of<\/strong> Mixed Veggies.<\/strong> If you&#8217;re looking for a lower-carb meal, try this half-entree\u00a0combination that gives you lots of protein and fiber. And with 220 calories and 450 milligrams of sodium, you can feel good about eating it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Half an\u00a0Entree\u00a0of\u00a0Mandarin\u00a0Chicken and Half an Order of Steamed Rice. <\/strong>This filling meal has just 365 calories and 370 milligrams of sodium. An easy choice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Full\u00a0Entree\u00a0of SweetFire Chicken Breast and Half an Order of Mixed Veggies.<\/strong> If you like spicy foods, give this combo a try for 450 calories and 500 milligrams of sodium.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Half\u00a0Entree\u00a0of Beef Broccoli and a Full Order\u00a0of Steamed Rice. <\/strong>One of my personal favorite dishes, this has just 485 calories and and 370 milligrams of sodium, making it a solid meal.<\/p>\n<p>The real standout on this menu is that the restaurant actually serves a side with <em>zero <\/em>milligrams of sodium &#8212; rice! Granted, it&#8217;s not calorie free, but it&#8217;s nice that you can pair half an order of it with half of an order of another main\u00a0entree\u00a0and have a filling meal.
