It seems new Biggest Loser trainer Brett Hoebel<\/a> <\/strong>was there on some sort of 14-week probationary period. In last night’s episode, week 14<\/a><\/strong>, Brett’s red team was down to one final player, Courtney Crozier<\/a><\/strong>. The two had the rare opportunity to train one-on-one all week, with the other members of the red team already eliminated. Courtney made it clear at the beginning of the week she was nervous, for herself and Brett; her concern was that if she didn’t pull a good number at the weigh-in that they’d both go home.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

That’s exactly what happened.<\/p>\n

In 11 seasons, there aren’t really too many surprises that catch the cast, contestants, and even viewers off guard any more. But when Courtney lost only one pound, immediately sending her home, Alison Sweeney<\/a><\/strong> turned her attention toward Brett. She announced in a somber tone that it was also his time to leave “with no one left for him to train.”<\/p>\n

The look on Brett’s face was of great surprise, but the look on Bob Harper<\/a><\/strong>‘s and Jillian Michaels<\/a><\/strong>‘ faces was downright priceless. They’ve seen a lot in 11 seasons, but no one saw this coming.<\/p>\n

We reached out to Brett and he had this to say about his departure: “The Biggest Loser has been one of the greatest experiences of my life.\u00a0 Helping people change their lives, has in turn changed mine. I am extremely proud\u00a0to have been a part of such an amazing group of individuals and stay tuned, because The Biggest Loser is always filled with twists and turns.”<\/p>\n

Courtney and Brett left the Biggest Loser gym together. Afterward we saw Courtney at home committed to her goal and expressing that she’s happier than she’s ever been.<\/p>\n

For now, no update on what’s next for Brett, or whether he’ll get a second chance next season.<\/p>\n
