Whether it be a small bowl with breakfast or an afternoon handful, I simply can\u2019t get enough. Cereal can be a good source of nutrients but it can also be an even better source of <strong><a title=\"Kids Cereals Reduce Sugar Content\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/01\/fruity-pebbles-and-cocoa-pebbles-to-reduce-sugar-content\/\">excess sugar<\/a><\/strong> (among other things.) While some cereals are falling to the wayside in a quest to introduce healthier foods to the masses, Fiber One has created a new option for cereal-lovers.<\/p>\n<p>According to the nutrition panel, each \u00be cup serving of the Fiber One 80 Calories Honey Squares contains only 140 mg of sodium and a whopping 10 g of <strong><a title=\"dietary fiber\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/08\/top-reasons-to-eat-fiber\/\">dietary fiber<\/a><\/strong>&#8211; that\u2019s 40 percent of your recommended daily value! The ingredient list boasts whole grain corn as the number one ingredient but it also contains sucralose, which is fine in moderation although I personally prefer a natural sweetener.<\/p>\n<p>It tasted great as a morning meal and I tried it with both vanilla almond milk and regular skim milk on different occasions. The texture was light and crunchy and it was very filling. I also tried it on top of a <strong><a title=\"yogurt parfait recipe\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/recipes\/greek-yogurt-parfait\/\">yogurt parfait<\/a><\/strong> and it added just the right touch of crunch without the amount of sugar that\u2019s in the granola I usually splurge on.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I like to snack on dry cereal but I have to say that I wasn\u2019t fond of the Honey Squares by themselves. I couldn\u2019t get past the unmistakable sucralose after-taste. My sister offered that <em>she<\/em> didn\u2019t notice any kind of fake-sugar taste so perhaps it\u2019s just my personal preference.<\/p>\n<p>General Mills also sent me a neoprene iPod holder arm strap and a <strong><a title=\"pedometer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/10\/walking-your-way-slim\/\">pedometer<\/a><\/strong> with USB connector to review. The arm strap was comfortable and the perfect size for both my iPod and cell phone but I wasn\u2019t impressed with the color. I would definitely prefer a black or gray, something not so bold as the neon orange that was sent to me.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve been using the pedometer for days now!\u00a0It appears to be\u00a0accurate and can be customized with your own height, weight, stride length and goals. The USB connector offers a simple-to-use computer program that charts your daily progress. My biggest caveat was that the product didn\u2019t come with a customer service number of any kind so when I had trouble downloading the software, getting help was a bit of a struggle. However, the people at Fiber One were champs about trying to track down the right department even though I figured it out through my own resources before they were able to get back to me.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the Fiber One 80 Calories Honey Squares is a <strong><a title=\"healthy breakfast\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/12\/quick-healthy-breakfast-ideas-for-every-schedule\/\">smart breakfast choice<\/a><\/strong> and definitely worth trying.
