And because it\u2019s an exercise\u00a0known for being tough, gritty and somewhat complicated, I\u2019ve been interested in trying\u00a0it for the last few years (glutton for punishment, I am). But it wasn\u2019t until I <strong><a title=\"kettlebell workout dvd reviews\" href=\"http:\/\/fitbottomedgirls.com\/2010\/11\/why-kettlebell-dvd-workouts-freak-us-out\/\" target=\"_blank\">reviewed a few kettlebell workout DVDs<\/a><\/strong> that I gave them a go. And what a go it was.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/?p=58753\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-58755\" title=\"kettlebells\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/kettlebells.jpg\" alt=\"kettlebells\" width=\"261\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>Working with kettlebells is intense and some of the movements are downright\u00a0dangerous and can result in injury if you do them improperly. And because many of the moves\u2014especially the compound ones\u2014are extremely\u00a0challenging and advanced, it\u2019s likely that when you get tired (and you will get tired), your form will suffer. And bad form isn&#8217;t good.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Not to mention that when you&#8217;re doing a <strong><a title=\"hard workout dvds\" href=\"http:\/\/fitbottomedgirls.com\/2011\/01\/top-10-hardest-workout-dvds\/\" target=\"_blank\">hard workout DVD<\/a><\/strong> at home, there&#8217;s no instructor to check your form.\u00a0Yes, I know that kettlebells give you an amazing, calorie-blasting workout that builds core strength and cardio endurance. And there are some really good kettlebell workout DVDs on the market that feature solid instruction &#8212; but there are also some workout DVDs out there that aren&#8217;t so hot, too. Which is why it&#8217;s important to look at the qualifications of any fitness professional you&#8217;re working out with, whether it&#8217;s in a <strong><a title=\"best beginner workout DVDs\" href=\"http:\/\/fitbottomedgirls.com\/2011\/01\/the-10-best-beginner-workout-dvds%E2%80%94ever\/\" target=\"_blank\">workout DVD<\/a><\/strong>, a workout class or a personal-training session.<\/p>\n<p>Bottomline? <strong><a title=\"kettlebell workout DVDs\" href=\"http:\/\/fitbottomedgirls.com\/2010\/11\/why-kettlebell-dvd-workouts-freak-us-out\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Kettlebells<\/a><\/strong> aren\u2019t just another fitness fad you can pop in and try. It involves jerking heavy weights over your head and onto your wrists. Serious business, kids.\u00a0So, let me strongly urge you to try kettlebells first in a class setting with a certified instructor. Once you learn the basics, sure, have a heyday at home and get one heck of a good workout. But until then, proceed with caution!
