\"\"<\/a>With a name like Smucker’s it has to be\u2026 recalled. Some of the company’s 16-ounce jars of Smucker’s Natural Peanut Butter Chunky is being pulled from shelves due to possible salmonella contamination. The recall is only their chunky-style peanut butter.<\/p>\n

During a routine sampling program it was revealed that some of the peanut butter could contain the bacteria. Luckily, there have been no reported illnesses associated with the recall.<\/p>\n

The potentially dangerous jars can be narrowed down to certain regions of the country during a particular time range:<\/p>\n

The recalled peanut butter<\/a><\/strong> was sold in Washington, D.C. and 24 states: Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

The recall peanut butter jars also have the following criteria:<\/p>\n

– They have the UPC code 5150001701
\n– The production codes 1307004 and 1308004
\n– Have “best-if-used-by” dates of August 3, 2026 and August 4, 2026<\/p>\n

If you purchased Smucker\u2019s Natural Peanut Butter Chunky in the aforementioned areas between November 8\u00a0 to 17, you should throw them away immediately.
