\"\"<\/a>Kim Kardashian along with two of her sisters are being sued for $5 million dollars for allegations the sisters\u00a0and the makers of QuickTrim<\/a><\/strong> made false claims about the product\u2019s weight loss effectiveness.<\/p>\n

The Kardashian sisters had an endorsement deal with the supplement company. Their participation\u00a0and the company itself came under attack when a lawsuit was filed in a New York federal court this week. The suit is on behalf of four plaintiffs from New York, California, and Florida.<\/p>\n

The plaintiffs stated that the claims made by QuickTrim and their spokeswomen, the Kardashians, were \u201cfalse, misleading, and unsubstantiated.\u201d In addition, the suit stated that there was “no competent and reliable scientific evidence supporting any of these claims.”<\/p>\n

According to the lawsuit, QuickTrim\u2019s main ingredient is a large dose of caffeine and various herbal ingredients. It\u2019s claimed that the supplement was never clinically proven as effective.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The firm of Bursor & Fisher filed the official lawsuit, which must be officially certified by a judge as a class action complaint before other QuickTrim consumers can be covered for compensation. In the meantime, the four plaintiffs are seeking over $5 million in damages.<\/p>\n

The Kardashian family fortune was last estimated in 2026 as $65 million. Kim Kardashian<\/a><\/strong> alone was estimated to have earned $6 million in 2026 from her reality TV show, clothing line, and various other beauty and fitness products. A huge portion of the family\u2019s money comes from celebrity endorsements. It looks like next time they could stand to do a bit more research before they attach their name to a product.<\/p>\n
