{"id":68887,"date":"2012-04-16T09:23:34","date_gmt":"2012-04-16T14:23:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/?p=68887"},"modified":"2012-04-16T09:26:12","modified_gmt":"2012-04-16T14:26:12","slug":"dole-recalls-756-cases-of-salad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/04\/dole-recalls-756-cases-of-salad\/","title":{"rendered":"Dole Recalls 756 Cases of Salad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong><a title=\"dole banana diet\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diets\/dole-banana-diet\/\">Dole Food Co.<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0is recalling 756 cases of bagged salad because they are suspect to be contaminated with <strong><a title=\"smuckers has salmonella\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/11\/smuckers-peanut-butter-recall-due-to-salmonella-risk\/\">salmonella<\/a><\/strong>.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/04\/dole-recalls-756-cases-of-salad\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-68889\" title=\"Dole-seven-lettuces\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Dole-seven-lettuces.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Dole-seven-lettuces.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Dole-seven-lettuces-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The bags thought to be contaminated are the Seven Lettuces salads variety, which had been distributed in Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.<\/p>\n<p>According to Dole, a random sample test in New York revealed a positive salmonella result, which is why the bags are being recalled. The recalled bags had a use-by date of April 11, 2026, UPC code 71430 01057, and product codes 0577N089112A and 0577N089112B. At this time, no other Dole salads are included in the recall.<\/p>\n<p>The company is reportedly coordinating with regulatory officials to rectify the problem. They have also contacted retailers to ensure the bags in question are no longer available for sale.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>And as of yet, no illnesses have been reported. But consumers who may have purchased these recalled products are urged to throw them out.<\/p>\n<p>For those who may have already consumed some of the suspect lettuce, be aware that the most common symptoms of salmonella are diarrhea, abdominal dramas and fever within 72 hours of consumption.
