With adventure events popping up all across the globe, \u201cboring\u201d and \u201cexercise\u201d will never be in the same sentence again. The Color Run is a prime example of how people are adding a little color to their exercise routine, literally.<a title=\"color run\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/04\/the-color-run-is-the-happiest-5k-on-the-planet\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-69733\" title=\"color run\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/color-run-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/color-run-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/color-run.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/thecolorrun.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">The Color Run<\/a><\/strong> is a booming event that is truly like no other. The event is simply stated in its name, a run with color. The run is on a three mile course designed for all abilities, shapes, and sizes, making it perfect for someone&#8217;s<strong> <a title=\"running a 5k\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/08\/how-to-choose-your-first-5k\/\">first 5K race<\/a><\/strong>. Participants are only instructed to do a few things: Line up at the start with a white shirt and plan to be doused in color by the finish.<\/p>\n<p>The Color Run puts little emphasis on completing the course fast (the race is not timed) and a high priority in being the most saturated with color at the end. The race is sectioned off into color zones every kilometer. At each station runners and walkers are hit with a natural and safe color dust (they say it&#8217;s edible but very high in calories). The 1k color zone is yellow, the 2k is blue, 3k is green, 4k is pink, and the 5k finish is a \u201ccolor extravaganza.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"color run\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/04\/the-color-run-is-the-happiest-5k-on-the-planet\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-69736\" title=\"color run map\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/color-run-map-300x143.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"143\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/color-run-map-300x143.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/color-run-map.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Needless to say this race is intended to be fun with a side effect of exercise. Runners finish a colorful mess and then proceed to have a post-party with bands, food, and many other colorful activities.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"color run\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/04\/the-color-run-is-the-happiest-5k-on-the-planet\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-69737\" title=\"color run man\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/color-run-man.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"203\" \/><\/a>This year\u2019s events, \u201cThe 2026 Tour de Color Run,\u201d are taking place in more than 30 cities nationwide. The events are filling quickly as so many are wanting to get in on the colorful fun. Most registration fees range from $40-$50 dollars, depending on individual or team sign-up. Each individual event chooses the charity they want the <strong><a title=\"charity walk tips\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/05\/4-tips-for-charity-walks-from-biggest-loser-contestants\/\">race to benefit<\/a><\/strong>. Some events are sponsoring Ronald McDonald House charities, others are contributing to Habitat for Humanity, while others are staying local and benefiting park organizations. Each race has a worthy cause you can help them support!<\/p>\n<p>If you look at just a few pictures from previous events, it\u2019s clear that these people are having a blast while they just happen to be exercising.
