The Cookie Monster created his own lyrics to the hit beat and we aren&#8217;t going to lie, his lyrics are kind of catchy, too. The creators at Sesame Street made sure to have Cookie Monster&#8217;s lyrics kid friendly, but they are by no means diet friendly.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-qTIGg3I5y8\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Cookie Monster&#8217;s parody, &#8220;Share It Maybe,&#8221; starts out with him in an office where he sees cookies being passed around, and that&#8217;s when he starts singing. Here is a selection of some of his lyrics in the parody:<\/p>\n<p><em>Me got a wish on me mind<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>It is a chocolate chip kind<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Me look at you and me tell<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>You may have snicker doodle<!--more--><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Me trade me soul for a bite<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Me spell out black and white<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Me look at you<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Me see you like an elm in tree<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>You cookie showing<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And me hunger growing<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Lets get skim milk flowing<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We&#8217;ll start this snack going baby!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Hey, me just met you and this is crazy<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But you got cookie, so share it maybe<a title=\"cookie monster share it maybe\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/07\/cookie-monsters-call-me-maybe-spoof-cuts-calories-by-sharing\/https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/07\/cookie-monsters-call-me-maybe-spoof-cuts-calories-by-sharing\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-75240\" title=\"cookie monster call me maybe\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/cookie-monster-call-me-maybe.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Bravo to the Cookie Monster for adding skim milk to his lyrics, because if he had said whole milk Americans probably would have had an uproar. Cookie Monster has been attacked as the issue of <strong><a title=\"childhood obesity issues\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/childhood-obesity\/\">childhood obesity<\/a><\/strong> has risen. The &#8220;Share It Maybe&#8221; lyrics promote a little bit of <strong><a title=\"Elmo teaches importance of eating vegetables\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/videos\/elmo-and-captain-vegetable\/\">healthy eating<\/a><\/strong>, because the Cookie Monster opts for skim milk and he asked others to share their cookies. By sharing a cookie children aren&#8217;t likely to eat a whole one, thus putting fewer calories in their body. However, even Cookie Monster knows, one cookie once in a while is OK, especially amongst friends.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe next time we&#8217;ll take the healthy eating to another level with another kid-friendly song that promotes eating vegetables, whole grains, and fruits.
