Doug&#8217;s successful diet was attributed to his smart choices and his daily exercise plan.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than\u00a0feast on\u00a0Big Macs and Quarter-Pounders with cheese, Doug was very selective about what he ate and what he\u00a0avoided. He created his own <a title=\"mcdonalds diet\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diets\/McDonalds_Diet\/\" target=\"_self\">McDonald&#8217;s diet<\/a> after a life-long battle\u00a0with\u00a0his weight.\u00a0Once he turned\u00a040 and after realizing that he had tried almost every diet on the market, Doug knew he had to make\u00a0a change in his nutrition habits as he topped the scales at more than 200 pounds.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Since McDonald&#8217;s\u00a0is his favorite food, he heavily researched the menu, then proceeded to eat McDonald&#8217;s for 30 days along with a stringent exercise plan (one hour of cardio\u00a0a day and weekly personal training sessions). Doug exchanged\u00a0hotcakes and hashbrowns for\u00a0<a title=\"egg mcmuffin recipe\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/recipes\/not-so-mcmuffin\/\" target=\"_self\">Egg McMuffins<\/a> and <a title=\"breakfast burrito recipe\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/recipes\/biggest-loser-breakfast-burrito\/\" target=\"_self\">breakfast burritos<\/a>, and swapped double cheeseburgers and\u00a0fries\u00a0for grilled chicken sandwiches, salads and yogurt parfaits. He admitted to occasionally splurging on a small Chicken McNugget or\u00a0one of McDonald&#8217;s new\u00a0chocolate chip cookies.<\/p>\n<p>While Doug obviously kept his calories and fat grams in check, his sodium levels were probably pretty high considering that most <a title=\"fast food diet\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diets\/Fast_Food_Diet\/\" target=\"_self\">fast-food<\/a> options pack a hefty dose of salt.<\/p>\n<p>But content with\u00a0his <a title=\"weight loss\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/\" target=\"_self\">weight loss<\/a> and even happier with his newly devised McDonald&#8217;s Diet, Doug did caution that just because this diet worked for him, doesn&#8217;t mean that it will work for everyone.
