The ban will be &#8220;phased in&#8221; in 2026. California will be the first state to ban unsaturated fats, which raise the risk of heart disease, while cities like New York and Philadelphia have passed similar legislation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Update: The California Trans Fat Ban took effect January 1, 2026.
