Previously we\u2019ve looked at <strong><a title=\"healthy starches\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/10\/portion-size-reality-check-learn-how-to-eat-healthy-starches\/\">proper sizes for starch servings<\/a><\/strong>. Now we\u2019ll tackle sweets, beverages and salty snacks. \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-28470\" title=\"wine\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/wine-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/wine-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/wine.jpg 481w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sure, none of these foods are necessarily nutritious, but they do make life more fun. That\u2019s why on <strong><a title=\"best life\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thebestlife.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bob Greene\u2019s Best Life plan<\/a><\/strong>, we\u2019ve set aside a portion of your total daily calories to spend on treats like these. The more daily calories you can consume while maintaining a healthy body weight (or getting down to one), the more \u201cAnything Goes\u201d treat calories you get. You gotta love exercise\u2014it allows you to eat more (treat) calories.<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind that treat calories are included in the daily calories listed below\u2014they\u2019re not extra.
