National Registered Dietitian (RD) Day is every March 13, an event organized by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics now in its sixth year.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"dietitian\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/03\/our-favorite-registered-dietitians-on-twitter-sharing-nutrition-advice-140-characters-at-a-time\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-86473\" title=\"dietitian\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/dietitian.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"334\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/dietitian.jpg 600w, https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/dietitian-300x167.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These men and women are tasked with the vitally important job of keeping our country healthy and well, something many of us turn a blind eye, too. <strong><a title=\"become a registered dietitian\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/01\/how-to-become-a-registered-dietitian\/\">Dietitians go through extensive training<\/a><\/strong> and achieve a level of expertise that gives them the ability to translate vast nutritional science in to something consumable and understandable for the general public. Their extensive education can often involve multiple degrees and highly coveted internships with major hospitals and universities where practical study gives them an even broader knowledge base.<\/p>\n<p>And the reality of the job isn&#8217;t as specific as you might think.
