In fact, it&#8217;s probably not on the\u2028 list at all. But maybe it&#8217;s time for that to change.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/03\/the-5-minute-bathroom-break-workout\/bathroom-workout\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-86955\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-86955\" title=\"Bathroom Workout\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Bathroom-Workout.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"417\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Bathroom-Workout.jpg 600w, https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Bathroom-Workout-300x208.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We all visit the bathroom, and a fast workout while\u2028 you&#8217;re in &#8220;the loo&#8221; can be the perfect way to break up your day. We&#8217;ve come up with a list of five simple moves you can do in the bathroom to fit in a quick workout and <strong><a title=\"energy boost\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/energy\">boost your energy<\/a><\/strong>. Pick one or all and get moving during your next bathroom break, even if for just 5 minutes. This, of course, will work best if you&#8217;re in a private bathroom, that is, unless you want to lead a class of bathroom exercisers with your coworkers!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Squats<\/strong><br \/>\nFind an open area in the bathroom where you won&#8217;t bump into anything and do a set of squats. You don&#8217;t\u2028 have to do a lot of these to get an effective workout since you&#8217;re working the largest muscle group in your \u2028body. See this post on <strong><a title=\"the perfect squat\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/09\/the-perfect-squat\/\">how to do the perfect squat<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jumping Jacks<br \/>\n<\/strong>These are a great exercise to get a small amount of cardio into your day when you otherwise may be sitting at a\u2028desk. Try for around 20\u00a0to really get your heart pumping.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sun Salutation<br \/>\n<a title=\"sun salutation video\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/videos\/ashtanga-yoga-surya-namaskara-a\/\">This simple yoga pose<\/a><\/strong> is perfect for those who have been sitting at a desk for a few hours. Since it&#8217;s not\u2028 a difficult pose, most people should be able to do it and reap the refreshing rewards. Try this modified\u2028 version: Stand with your feet together and arms in a prayer position. Inhale and raise your arms above\u2028 your head. As you exhale reach behind you creating an arch in your back. On another inhale bring your arms \u2028back above your head to come out of the arch. With the next exhale bend forward and reach to the ground.\u2028 Return to your starting position on an inhale. If your back is feeling tight, hold the arch or forward \u2028fold for an extra breath cycle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Side Stretch<\/strong><br \/>\nSide stretches are a good way to loosen stiff muscles if you&#8217;ve been sitting for a while. You can do them \u2028in smaller spaces by putting one hand on your hip and stretching your other arm overhead as you\u2028 reach to the opposite side. Hold for 30 seconds, and then switch sides.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quad Stretch<\/strong><br \/>\nA simple quad stretch completes your 5-minute bathroom workout. You can use the sink or wall to help you stay\u2028 balanced if needed. Stand on one leg and gently pull your opposite heel up and back until you feel a\u2028 stretch in your quadricep.
