The star was quoted as saying &#8220;After birth I wore a double corset for three months. It was sweaty but worth it.&#8221;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-87856\" alt=\"jessica-alba-corset-weight-loss\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/jessica-alba-corset-weight-loss.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"637\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/jessica-alba-corset-weight-loss.jpg 400w, https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/jessica-alba-corset-weight-loss-188x300.jpg 188w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>While corsets can serve many purposes, some rely on them for weight loss because of their supposed ability to create thermal heat through the midsection, causing users to lose inches &#8220;through the science of compression,&#8221; according to <strong><a title=\"hourglassangel.com\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hourglassangel.com\/shape-wear\/weight-loss-1\" target=\"_blank\">hourglassangel.com<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Many garments from hourglassangel.com also include latex, which is designed to compress the midsection,\u00a0<strong><a title=\"unconventional diet methods\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/10\/this-years-most-unorthodox-as-seen-on-tv-weight-loss-gadgets-and-gizmos\/\">increase perspiration<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; as Alba noted &#8211; and flush toxins from the area, collectively speeding weight loss.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>In an experimental report for <strong><a title=\"abc news\" href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/blogs\/health\/2012\/10\/10\/my-life-in-a-corset-squeezing-into-a-new-dieting-strategy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">ABC News<\/a><\/strong>, journalist Deborah Roberts wore a corset for two weeks. On day two she admitted being &#8220;starving and feeling a bit squeezed\u2026After four or five bites [of salad], I can&#8217;t eat anymore. I feel full.&#8221;<!--more--><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Of the experiment, gynecologist Dr. Sara Gottfried said that wearing a corset 24\/7 can do a couple things to your body. \u201cNamely, it will be squeezing your ribs so much that you can\u2019t take a deep breath,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Corsets can squish your lungs by 30 to 60 percent, making you breathe like a scared rabbit.
