A 2026 study from the University of British Columbia* says it&#8217;s so, specifically with the use of a <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sunlighten.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Sunlighten sauna<\/a><\/strong>. This 2026 study found that when the Sunlighten sauna was used three times a week in 20-minute sessions, the user lost weight and reduced waist circumference (which is often a better determination of <strong><a title=\"waist size vs scale weight\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/01\/inches-lost-more-accurate-than-scale-weight\/\">overall health than scale weight<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"sunlighten sauna\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/06\/experts-agree-sitting-in-a-sunlighten-sauna-offers-vast-health-and-weight-loss-benefits\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-88928\" alt=\"sunlighten logo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/sunlighten-logo.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"513\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/sunlighten-logo.jpg 600w, https:\/\/dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/sunlighten-logo-300x256.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Another study conducted at the University of Missouri at Kansas City** found that 30-minute sessions three times a week in a Sunlighten sauna even lowered the user&#8217;s blood pressure. And still, more research hails the benefits of consistent sauna use.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/20682487\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">One study<\/a> <\/strong>showed that using a sauna every other day for two weeks was associated with increased fat metabolism and lower cholesterol,&#8221; reported <strong><a href=\"%20http:\/\/www.dailyglow.com\/experts\/dr-jessica-wu.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Dr. Jessica Wu<\/a><\/strong>, Daily Glow\u2019s Dermatology Expert. She explained that the heat produced by the sauna will obviously make you sweat, and that if you sweat enough, &#8220;you will temporarily lose water weight.&#8221; As well, since heat reduces appetite, she explained that some people may have less of an appetite after a session in the sauna.<\/p>\n<p>So what is this Sunlighten sauna that seems to be changing the health of its users? It&#8217;s not your typical sauna, as the results clearly show.
