Instead, make \u201cgood enough\u201d your goal. This approach can often mean the difference between success and failure. If you know you\u2019re having lunch with a friend at a restaurant you don\u2019t get to visit often, prepare in advance. Eat a nutritionally dense breakfast and plan a dinner that doesn\u2019t break the caloric bank so you feel OK about ordering what you want. Eating is supposed to taste good!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Watch your words<\/strong>. Avoid absolute vocabulary like \u201call\u201d or \u201cnever\u201d and substitute words like \u201cdiet\u201d with \u201ceating plan.\u201d Even a subtle shift in the language you use can affect your mental perception.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Personalize it<\/strong>. What works for you may not work for someone else, and the plan your best friend follows may leave you feeling deprived.
