This is not a, &#8220;what foods should I eat to lose weight&#8221; blog but rather, &#8220;what foods should I eat to give my body the fuel for overall physical and mental health, glowing skin and okay, a trimmer waistline too,&#8221; blog.<\/p>\n<p>Packed with vibrant recipes and health tips, Maria, a Certified Health Coach and Natural Food Chef, will give you directions on how to make a delicious dish, then explain why it&#8217;s so good for you. Recently, we spoke to the glamorous wellness coach\/foodie about the idea behind The Bombshell Blueprint.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why did you start your food blog?<\/strong>\u00a0To show people that healthy food should taste better than good, you just have to know how to prepare it! I also wanted to teach people that food does more than just fulfill our hunger, it can actually change the way we look and feel. I often include a <em>benefits<\/em> section with each recipe outlining what each food does for our skin, health, and energy.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>How would you describe your approach to eating\/health?<\/strong>\u00a0I follow a whole food, plant-based diet, with tons of vegetables and fruit, as well as whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds. I love raw desserts and dark chocolate, and when I do indulge, I make sure it is the best tasting, highest quality ingredients, and I never feel bad about it. No need to feel guilty over food!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Have you always had an interest in healthy food or did it come later in life?<\/strong>\u00a0My interest in food came later in life. I grew up eating a lot of junk food, and hardly any fruits and vegetables. When I was in high school, my poor eating habits started to show, and my skin was perpetually broken out. When I got to college, a girl mentioned that my skin problems may have something to do with what I was eating, so I changed my eating habits. My skin skin finally cleared up, and ever since, I have been fascinated with the power of food.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your favorite (or a few of your favorites) food\/ingredient to use in the kitchen?<\/strong>\u00a0I love frozen bananas, as they make smoothies deliciously creamy and serve as an excellent base for ice creams. I love turmeric, not only because it&#8217;s a healing spice, but it is also has a mild flavor that pairs well with black pepper and cumin. It works well in salads and cooked veggie dishes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Has blogging changed the way you view food and cooking?<\/strong> <strong>If so, how?<\/strong>\u00a0Blogging has definitely made me place more emphasis on making food look beautiful.
