Born in Argentina, Como Come Cami founder, Camila Jurado started traveling when she was 10 years old. She&#8217;s lived in Honduras and Buenos Aries but she graduated from a college in Savannah, Georgia. I&#8217;d love to know if her Spanish accent took on a southern twang.<\/p>\n<p>Camila created her vegetarian-inspired blog to connect with other vegans and share the creative recipes she&#8217;s gathered from her travels. More about Camila and Como Come Cami:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why did you start your food blog?<\/strong>\u00a0I always liked cooking but became more passionate about healthy foods and ingredients once I became a vegetarian. I started this site with the idea of sharing healthy recipes and travel with a vegetarian approach. I love traveling, discovering new ingredients, buying vintage plates, reading cookbooks and taking photos.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>How would you describe your approach to eating\/healthy?<\/strong>\u00a0My main approach is freshness, healthy, low in fat, organic produce and eating local. I believe that the more you know about your food and where it comes from, the more excited you become with cooking and a healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Have you always had an interest in healthy food or did it come later in life?<\/strong>\u00a0It came later in life. I always enjoyed cooking, but it wasn&#8217;t until I became a vegetarian that my cravings became healthier. The blog also encouraged me, in a way, to think more about my meals and the products I would bring into my kitchen and to my followers. I also started searching for new recipes, buying cookbooks and trying new ingredients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your favorite (or a few of your favorites) food\/ingredient to use in the kitchen?<\/strong>\u00a0I can&#8217;t live without quinoa, greek organic yogurt, paprika or ghee!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Has blogging changed the way you view food and cooking? If so, how?<\/strong>\u00a0Blogging changed everything. It made me more conscious about what I eat and share. It made me think of different menus, dishes, ingredients to share and my approach to buying ingredients. Since the first day I&#8217;ve felt that i&#8217;m cooking with and for whoever wants to follow, and that is a great responsibility. I don&#8217;t take it lightly. I&#8217;m constantly searching and thinking of new dishes to make, and how to present them.
