That\u2019s because they can prepare you for your workout and may also help prevent injuries.<\/p>\n<p>I know what you\u2019re thinking: <em>I just don\u2019t have the time. I\u2019m lucky enough to squeeze in a quick workout let alone all these extras.<\/em> But I urge you to find time. Doing so will help you <strong><a title=\"music for workouts\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/01\/music-makes-for-a-better-workout\/\">get a better workout<\/a><\/strong> and burn more calories. A warm up can be anything from a quick walk or slow jog to jumping jacks or jumping rope.<\/p>\n<p>Time Investment: 5 minutes<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Stretch<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What it is: A technique that increases flexibility by lengthening or extending muscles. This should be done after your warm up and before your workout. If you\u2019re really tight on time, you can focus only on the parts of the body you\u2019ll be exercising. For instance, if you\u2019re running, you can <strong><a title=\"stretches for runners\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/04\/saturday-morning-drill-stretches-for-runners\/\">stretch mainly your legs<\/a> <\/strong>and skip your upper body.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cool down<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What it is: Light cardio activity done after you finish your workout.
