But it&#8217;s hard to find a recipe that has enough protein, fiber, fat and so forth to keep me satisfied for hours after mealtime. Recently I tried a new take on tomato soup\u2014one with lots of chickpeas in it. It&#8217;s actually pretty similar to the Best Life Diet&#8217;s <strong><a title=\"Healthy and inexpensive meals\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/02\/3-meals-that-are-cheap-and-healthy\/\">Chickpea and Tomato Soup<\/a><\/strong>, only I add a scoop of <strong><a title=\"pesto recipe\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/recipes\/herb-garden-pesto\/\">pesto<\/a><\/strong> and leave out the ginger, cilantro, curry, and lemon.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/tomato-pesto-soup-e1390500966925.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-95212\" alt=\"tomato pesto soup\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/tomato-pesto-soup-e1390500966925.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"398\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is no overindulgence\u2014all of the ingredients are healthy and eaten together they really do provide a filling, tasty meal. But I was pretty surprised to see that the aforementioned recipe packs a 446-calorie punch. This isn&#8217;t a crazy amount of calories\u2014as I mentioned, it feels filling enough that I tend to skip my afternoon snack when I eat it for lunch\u2014but it still seems high for vegetable soup. Add on the fact that I <strong><a title=\"Sitting bad for your health\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/03\/sitting-can-be-dangerous-to-your-health\/\">sit at a desk<\/a><\/strong> for most of the day and you&#8217;ll see how a even a healthy soup could potentially lead to unwanted pounds.<\/p>\n<p>So, how can I make sure that this delicious soup fuels more than just my fingers, typing away on the keyboard?
