On the menu that evening: Pizza. Regular pizza nights have become a tradition in my house over the last year, ever since acquiring a pizza stone that helps the crusts of our pies bake evenly and all the way through. Each gathering is a bit of a potluck\u2014guests bring toppings for a pie, or a salad, beverage, or dessert.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/pizza-e1392512882800.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-95872\" alt=\"pizza\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/pizza-e1392512882800.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"398\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We were all glued to the TV during Shaun White&#8217;s time on the half-pipe\u2014and his ultimate defeat\u2014but it was really the pizzas that stole the show that night. We had fresh pineapple and prosciutto, roasted cauliflower and caramelized onion, and even a bacon-apple-rosemary pie. I had a big slice of each one, which seemed like a good idea in the moment. (An hour later, I was still in the same place on the couch.)<\/p>\n<p>The pizza was good, but it came at a cost of around 224 calories a slice, or 672 calories for 3 slices. Yikes! That was definitely more of a meal than I&#8217;d been hoping for.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>What were my options for burning of the 672 calories of pizza I consumed?<\/p>\n<p>I could have made like Shaun White and <strong><a title=\"Best winter sports for calorie burning\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/12\/the-best-calorie-burning-winter-activities\/\" target=\"_blank\">snowboarded <\/a><\/strong>for 81 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/snowboard-e1392512974697.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-95874\" alt=\"snowboard\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/snowboard-e1392512974697.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I could have spent 3 hours and 8 minutes <strong><a title=\"House cleaning as a workout\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/11\/housework-can-be-a-workout\/\">cleaning up<\/a> <\/strong>after my guests left:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/cleaning-e1392512830155.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-95875\" alt=\"cleaning\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/cleaning-e1392512830155.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Or I could have run on the<strong> <a title=\"Top 4 treadmill values\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/12\/top-4-treadmills-for-the-money\/\">treadmill<\/a><\/strong> for 56 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/treadmill-e1392513025850.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-95873\" alt=\"treadmill\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/treadmill-e1392513025850.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"475\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I wound up doing none of these\u2014heading to bed instead of burning anything off. Oops!
