This past Friday was a good example of this. I&#8217;d worked hard for the past 5 days and when Friday rolled around I was ready to unwind. I met up with some friends and ordered one of my favorite comfort foods\u2014<strong><a title=\"Recipe for trashcan nachos\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/12\/this-pile-of-trashcan-nachos-is-not-yo-average-plate-of-melty-cheese-and-chips\/\">nachos<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/burn-nachos.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-96093\" alt=\"burn nachos\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/diet_column\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/burn-nachos-e1393104247930.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To me, few things feel as good\u2014or bad\u2014as a heaping plate of nachos. You&#8217;ve got the crunchy pile of corn chips. The warm black beans and melted cheese. The salsa and, if you&#8217;re really lucky, <strong><a title=\"Eva Longoria's guacamole recipe\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dietsinreview.com\/recipes\/chunky-guacamole-with-serrano-peppers\/\">guacamole<\/a><\/strong>. On last night&#8217;s order there was even a healthy helping of pulled pork. Delish!<\/p>\n<p>Luckily I shared the snack\u2014which actually served as dinner\u2014but the calorie count of this one was a real doozy: Somewhere around 1,200 calories for the gooey plate. That means I ate around 600 calories worth of nachos in one sitting.
