Sometimes you need to just talk about it- to better understand something, to clear your mind, or share your experiences for the betterment of others. We've had a few conversations recently with people who have a thing or two to say about living healthy and losing weight. We know you'll enjoy and learn from these interviews from three individuals with very different perspectives on weight loss, but sharing a goal to follow a healthy approach and improve the overall lifestyle.

Advanced Mediterranean Diet

Interview with Dr. Steve Parker, The Advanced Mediterranean Diet

This doctor has spent his 25-year career helping patients overcome obesity and weight-related illnesses. Joel Gates

Interview with Joel Gates of DozenDiets.com

This fellow has followed six diets so far this year, with six more to go. His idea to do a dozen diets in 2008 spawned from his indecision to choose the one he wanted to finally help him lose weight. The goal is to once and for all identify which diet is the healthiest, is the easiest to follow and practice and allows flexibility in real life like "cheating". So far he's lost 43 pounds and he's blogging each day. Right now Joel is following the aforementioned Advanced Mediterranean Diet and next month he's on to NutriSystem.

Michah Mccain

Interview with Micah McCain from Bravo's Work Out

Micah appeared on the recently-wrapped third season of Bravo's hit reality program, "Work Out." The show follows a posh Hollywood trainer, and her gym offers a boot camp, Sky Lab, to help people come to terms with their emotional barriers to weight loss. Micah was a participant, losing 23 pounds during filming and 71 pounds total. He offers positive support to others to help them overcome those all-too-familiar plateaus.

Matt’s Fitness Tip

Matt

Crunches in Bed
Before you even get out of bed in the morning, do 10 stomach crunches while lying flat on your mattress. Increase daily by one until you get up to 100. Think you?ll never get there? Try it. You may eventually have to set your clock to wake up 15 minutes earlier, a small price to pay for a flatter stomach.
