About Me:

I'm 36 yrs old with 2 boys 9 and 4. They live with me full-time and they are extremely busy. My 9 yr old has a.d.h.d. which makes our lifestly a little more hectic than if he weren't a.d.h.d. I suppose. I work at home ever since an accident I had in 2005 when I was hit by a druck driver traveling over 100mph. I have overcome dark times after my accident when I thought my life as I knew it was over. and now after gaining weight from the births of my boys and then some, I am ready to take the weight off and take on the world!

The goals I'm working toward:

  • Losing 50lbs
  • getting back to drinking only water - no soda
  • walking a marathon maybe even running one.

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:

after my second back surgery in 2006. I lost like 36 lbs and was flyn high! Then I got back together with my ex and it all went down hill after that.

My favorite healthy food:

I love fruits - all of them! Love grilled vegetables. Yogurt, granola, I can eat almost anything thats healthy, even if it doesnt really taste all that good. Bland doesnt bother me.

My guiltiest pleasure:

Fudge Brownies for sure! and strawberry shortcake.

I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

I have two boys that are FULL of energy and I am a single mom doing it all. I feel so disgusted with myself when my boys beg me to do things that I want to do but just can't thanks to being this heavy! I want to live life to the fullest with my boys! and I want to be healthier to be around for them when they are adults with children. and of course looking good in hot clothes is right along side of all the other reasons I want to loose.

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • no soda, lots of water
  • Walking every night for an hour or more
  • Back exercises as much as I can
  • take a water exercise program and/or yoga
  • Keep a positive attitude

My favorite activity at the gym is:

I have to be very careful because my back is very weak now. But I like the stepper, the bike, and I'd like to take yoga and maybe some other classes to. I also like walking the track.

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • My boys for sure
  • Being a single mother sucessfully
