How Your New Zodiac Sign Affects Your Diet Habits

Most of our days pass by with very little excitement. Every so often, we’re faced with an event that changes our lives and turns our world upside down. Yesterday I woke up a Sagittarius and by last night I was an Ophiuchus. Does this mean that my entire fate has changed? Will my temperament, my likes and dislikes morph into something unknown to me? No. Well, maybe, but I doubt it has anything to do with my sun sign. I’m no astrologist (or astronomist for that matter) but I assure you that the identity-crisis can stop.

I’m going to guess that this shift in the zodiac calendar will cause very few life-altering effects. Of course, this logic hasn’t stopped me from scouring the internet for information and yes, finding a way that it applies to us here in the diet world. So whether you believe in it or not, let’s have some fun and explore it a little! Drumroll please… The new zodiac chart is:

Capricorn: Jan. 20 – Feb. 16
Aquarius: Feb. 16 – March 11
Pisces: March 11- April 18
Aries: April 18 – May 13
Taurus: May 13 – June 21
Gemini: June 21 – July 20
Cancer: July 20 – Aug. 10
Leo: Aug. 10 – Sept. 16
Virgo: Sept. 16 – Oct. 30
Libra: Oct. 30 – Nov. 23

Aquarians may be tempted by fad diets. For optimal results, they should go for a flexible diet.

Pisces can be a bit wishy-washy with their dieting. A positive support system is crucial to their dieting success.

Aries get distracted if they don’t see results quickly. An unrestrictive diet will yield the best results for these impulsive individuals.

Taureans tend to dislike exercise and have slow metabolisms. However, they’re patient and methodical by nature, making them successful dieters.

Geminis tend to be impatient so they may need a support partner (perhaps a Taurus) to calm them down when they get discouraged. Overall, their love for change speaks good news for weight loss.

Cancers tend to love food and often fall back on emotional eating. To avoid failure, Cancers should choose a diet that offers a large variety of food.

Leos may be tempted by “quick fixes” and fad diets. With the right support and a reliable system a Leo’s enthusiasm will bring success.

Virgos are very sensible and typically choose practical diets that translate well to real-life. However, Virgos often expect too much, too fast and get discouraged easily.

Libras have slow metabolisms and tend to be quite laid back. The trick is motivating them but once that’s done, Libras will take off! To avoid setbacks, they should avoid programs that tempt them with words such as “effortless” and “rapid.”

Scorpios tend to do very well on diet and fitness programs. The problem they run into is dissatisfaction. Scorpios should look out for over-exercising and reducing calories by too much.

Sagittarians have one major downfall: they take on too much. They have great motivation but become impatient easily. For ultimate success, they should set small goals and choose a diet with simple recipes and fun exercise programs.

Capricorns are all-stars in the diet arena but they do face one big problem. They have a tendency to avoid taking advice. Remember to be open to support and seek advice.
