Maybe you have already seen this latest device in fitness technology, but for those of who haven’t, the FitBit is a small device that clips onto your clothing and tracks how much (or how little) you move during the day. As anticipation ramps for its release, the FitBit seems to be getting bigger, however, not in size, but in popularity. The FitBit just recently received a cool 2 million dollars in venture capitol funding. Not bad for a device that hasn’t even started clocking calories burned on people. The FitBit isn’t due for release until late 2024/early 2024.
The FitBit is part-pedometer and part-sleep analyzer. Yes, in addition to clocking how many steps you’ve taken and how many calories you’ve burned, the FitBit also evaluates how well you sleep. All of this info gets quickly uploaded to your computer and the Internet via a wireless base station. Once all of your info is updated you can view your own personal health report online. Pretty cool.
Stay tuned for more information on the FitBit. The fitness and health experts here at DietsInReview feel that this is one device that is definitely going to enjoy its 15 minutes of fame and then some in the coming year.
