Since being eliminated week 7 on the Biggest Loser, Shanon Thomas has begun to live a healthy and happy life. Before the Biggest Loser, she was doubtful about losing weight and being successful. Now Shanon believes in herself and sees that losing weight is possible with the right lifestyle changes. With her goal dress already too big, she’s having fun shopping for new clothes and loving going to the gym to workout. Being active is a major part of Shanon’s new life. Whether it’s roller derby practice or moving on the elliptical, Shanon has taken the advice to “just keep moving” from her trainer Bob Harper.
The transition from ranch life to home life is tough, but memories of working out with a tough trainer like Bob Harper can keep you going. “Bob is a tough cookie,” Shanon admits, “he’s hard but he takes you to another level. He helps you through your workouts both physically and mentally.”
In order to stay motivated at home Shanon has herself on a structured schedule and says that she is prepared at all times. Being prepared for her means having roller skates, gym shoes and water packed and ready in the car. To stay away from the drive-thru, she drives past with apple and string cheese in hand.
Shanon is now not only excited to be going to the gym, but excited that she’s taking her life to a whole new level. “It’s hard to make the change, but you have to want it.” And want it she does, Shanon is now down more than 85 pounds and working hard to meet her goal weight for the finale.
Shannon rocks!!! I am almost positive we were at the same Biggest Loser casting Call!!! You go girl!
Shannon, I give you alot of credit for saying you would leave because your Mom wanted to stay. As a mom of three, their is no way I would let my daugter leave, she would come first before me for sure. My kids always come first. Good luck to you You look great
keep it up Shannon… you are doing wonderfully, can not wait to see you in the finale,
Great job Shanon! As a fellow Michiganian I am rooting for you and can’t wait to see the new skinny you at the finale! :0)
I was a bit disappointed that you went home and felt that you should have stayed this time (since you went home the last time too) but it sounds like you are doing great. Glad it is working out for you
