The world of protein and energy bars is never dull. Just recently, Detour launched a new look and new products to their existing menu of activity bars.
Here are some new products from Detour that promise to deliver the energy and nutrients you need to lead and thrive in an active lifestyle:
Detour Yoga Bar: With lemon balm to help you maintain your relaxing yoga glow and 11 grams of high quality protein to help you maintain your pretzel-like flexibility, the Detour Yoga bar is one of just three activity bars designed specifically for certain forms of exercise. There is also a Detour Runner and Biker Bar. The Yoga Bar comes in Peach Mango and Blueberry Acai flavors, and contains 170 calories, two grams of fat and four grams of fiber.
Detour Lower Sugar Bar: These bars contain the same award-winning candy bar taste as the original Detour bar, but with 83 percent less sugar. Each bar packs 15 grams of quality protein. And at only 170 calories, they can be used as a pre- or post-workout snack or as a mini-meal fix. The Detour Lower Sugar bar comes in Chocolate Chip Caramel, Caramel Peanut, and Chocolate Creamy Peanut Butter.
Detour Lean Muscle: This is the newest addition to the Detour product line. The Detour Lean Muscle bar was designed for the weight-lifter in you or for those who are interested in building lean muscle mass. Each bar contains 390 calories, 32 grams of protein, 20 vitamins and minerals and is packed with 2,000 mg of healthy omega-3’s per serving. The Lean Muscle touts itself as being the first bar that gives dedicated athletes the full-spectrum of nutrients they need for optimal performance and lean muscle mass development. This bar comes in Cookie Dough Caramel Crisp or Fudge Almond Crunch flavors.
Unlike your average granola bars, Detour bars are created to be more of an athletic bar with its inclusion of quality protein and vitamins and minerals. But since some of the Detour bars pack as many calories as a meal, always read the nutrition label and eat just a portion of the bar if you are just looking for a quick 150- to 200-calorie snack.
Detour bars are found at retail stores throughout the nation, or they can be ordered online at the Detour website.
