Biggest Loser Week 10 Recap

Last night’s episode of Biggest Loser will probably be one of the more memorable this season, for both the viewers and the contestants. From the contestant’s standpoint- spending a week with NFL stars Jerry Rice and Steve Young, as well as preparing Thanksgiving dinner with Chef Rocco- it doesn’t get much better than that!

Vicky was obviously the most excited, being a die-hard football fan, and Amy C. was obviously the least interested, something about not having ever watched a game. During the challenge I think everyone knew the blue team would work diligently to take out the black team, and that left Michelle steaming. They blue team then appeared to work diligently to hand the win to Vicky. She was, to say the least, ecstatic about winning her trip for four to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl. Ed was the only one to walk away with $500 for catching the football. “Heba had already spent that money as soon as it touched my hands,” he remarked. Vicky also earned the $10,000 prize (contributed by NFL Play 60, Rice and Young, to be given to the school of her choice) during the obstacle course race with the NFL stars. She played possum, psyched out the other players, and managed to improve her time the most in the second run over the first.

Athletes need a hearty meal after a good workout, and that’s just what the contestants got when they went back to the house. Chef Rocco greeted the six remaining players in the dining room, with a Thanksgiving feast to make a grown man cry, or their wives. Heba looked like she was on the verge of tears as she surveyed the roasted turkey, sweet potato pie and other trimmings. ” This is one temptation I don’t think we’ll be able to avoid,” said Heba.

Instead of making the players eat a calorie- and fat-laden Thanksgiving dinner, Rocco taught them how to make healthier versions of all their traditional favorites. You can see all of Rocco’s Biggest Loser Thanksgiving Recipes here.

A touching moment in the episode came as blue and black joined Rocco at the dinner table to enjoy the Thanksgiving feast they’d prepared. They spent time in the kitchen as one, no bickering, no drama, and then told what they were thankful for. After the meal, Rocco surprised them with their favorite NFL jersey and videos from home. Those are a tear jerker every single time!

The fairy tale couldn’t last forever and yet again there was an elimination. The entire house dropped great numbers this week. Michelle blew everyone out of the water with a 10 pound loss, putting her at nearly six percent for the week! Amy C., the reigning weight loss champ, posted a five pound loss, and the lowest percentage of the week. I don’t care who you are, five pounds is an impressive number and I hope Amy C. is proud of the work she did that week.

In another no-deliberation elimination, the teams voted a tie between Heba and Amy C. I think this was no surprise to anyone. Since Amy had the lowest percentage lost this week, she became the game’s newest victim.

Her at-home video looked amazing. She started this game in a size 22 and is now in an 8, working toward 125 pounds for the finale. There’s no doubt she’ll get there!
