Deni Hill wins the Season 11 “At Home” Biggest Loser prize of $100k

Watching your daughter get married is one of those poignant moments in a mother’s life, and missing it wouldn’t be an option. But when the opportunity to join Biggest Loser season 11 came along and the dates overlapped Deni Hill’s daughter’s wedding, missing it was “the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” she says. Deni tearfully explained that her daughter urged her not to give up the once-in-a-lifetime chance to join Biggest Loser, and how she asked Deni to bring home her new knowledge and help her with her own weight issues. Today, Deni is expecting her newest grandchild!
Deni says the hardest part about being home is trying to find something to replace her emotional eating habits, since it can’t be food. For her, she turns to exercise, shopping, and even breathing.

Denise Hill, who goes by the nickname “Deni,” was born in Burbank California. The mother of eight, she was never able to shed pregnancy weight and felt too busy caring for her children to worry about herself. Deni’s extra pounds have make her pre-diabetic and she also has high cholesterol. She realizes now that if she wants to be alive to enjoy spending time with her grandchildren, she will need to get healthy again.
