In order to keep his position as defensive lineman at Delta State University, Patrick House had to maintain his weight to be a starter. He relied on large quantities of carbs and protein, and watched the weight add up. It was an unforeseen injury that would remove Patrick from the playing field, ending his athletic career as he continued the same eating habits. Recently laid off from his position as a sales representative for a food distributor, Patrick now spends his days at home looking for work with his wife, a stay-at-home mom, and two young children. Patrick knows as a salesman that you have to be able to sell yourself to prospective employers, and at his weight, he knows it’s an uphill battle. He’s ready to make big changes so he can support and care for his family.
