Biggest Loser Reunion with 30 Contestants in Thanksgiving Where Are They Now Special

Whatever happened to your favorite Biggest Loser contestants? Well, wonder no more as this Thanksgiving Biggest Loser will air a two-hour special taking in to the private lives of many of the show’s alumni. More than 30 contestants will appear on “Where Are They Now” to show you how their weight loss has changed their lives and how they look today.

Growing as popular for its love stories as it has for its weight loss success stories, you’ll get to watch the romantic proposal of season 9’s Sam and Stephanie, who recently visited the brand new Biggest Loser Resort in Malibu with Daris George. Not only that, but get access to the recent Lake Tahoe wedding of season 5 at-home winner Bernie Salazar to Jennifer, the cousin of his teammate Brittany Aberle.

You’ll see that these Losers really do walk the walk when it comes to fitness, as 50 of them meet to take on the San Francisco Triathlon, which took place this past summer. Representatives from every season since 2 participated, including Tara Costa, Ed Brantley and Brady and Vicky Vilcan. Plus, see pretty-in-pink Ali Vincent and Sherry Johnston appear at the Biggest Loser 5K event in Myrtle Beach, powered by the slogan “Don’t compete…just complete.” (more…)

Biggest Loser Stars Phil and Amy Parham Help Overweight Americans [VIDEO]

This summer, Biggest Loser 6 contestants Phillip and Amy Parham published their first book, “The 90-Day Fitness Challenge,” and continued their journey of helping Americans get fit. For August and September, they are the featured sponsors of the DietsInReview.com newsletter, and below you can learn more about their mission.

When “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution” launched on ABC, the UK native set out to change the way people eat in what has been dubbed “the fattest city in America,” Huntington, West Virginia. But when he appeared on the “Late Show with David Letterman,” Letterman told him his mission was hopeless. The White House recently declared war on childhood obesity. There’s no doubt we have a battle on our hands—but is it already lost?

“Not even close!” say Phil Parham and Amy Parham, stars from NBC’s “The Biggest Loser.” Combined, Phil and Amy lost more than 250 pounds on the hit TV show. Viewers related to the Parhams immediately, as their struggle with weight was—like it is for most people—more than just about food. (more…)

Take the 90-Day Fitness Challenge with Amy and Phil Parham

It was just six short years ago that Amy Parham and Phil Parham had reached their version of the bottom. A struggling business, the care of an autistic child and managing their lives all while both being obese left them feeling like it was a long way up from the bottom.

“Six years ago, I was lying on my couch, gazing though an opening in the ceiling that led to the attic. My eyes slowly became fixated on a wooden beam. I began to wonder: What would it feel like if I hung myself? Could the beam support my weight?,” says Amy at the beginning of her and Phil’s new book The 90-Day Fitness Challenge.

It’s a startling realization that things weren’t always positive for these very happy Biggest Loser season six alumni. Saying that “Every day felt like hell on earth,” Amy and Phil found a little piece of heaven and things started to turn for them in 2024 when they applied for and were chosen for Biggest Loser. The two went on to lose a combined 256 pounds, and remain the record holders as the highest percentage of weight lost by any couple in the show’s nearly ten-season history.

The Parham’s say that the Biggest Loser did so much for them in helping to regain their health, lives and positive outlook that they felt compelled to share those gifts with others. That’s where The 90-Day Fitness Challenge comes from. Two weeks after returning home from their season, they threw together a fitness challenge and were shocked when more than 1,000 people from seven states arrived at the event. “We saw ourselves in them,” remarked Amy, recalling a desire to help each of them.

Listen Now as Amy and Phil discuss more of their post-Loser journey, what The 90-Day Fitness Challenge is all about, and how faith continues to play a “key role” in their lives.

A Biggest Loser Family Fights Autism with a Healthy Lifestyle

The week of September 20 is Autism Awareness Week at DietsInReview.com. The Parhams join us to share their story.

amy and phillip parham familyPhillip and Amy Parham were contestants on season six of The Biggest Loser where they lost a combined total of 256 pounds. They have three children: Austin, (14), Pearson (12), and Rhett (9). They continue to inspire people through their website and social network PhilAndAmyFitness.com and through “90 day fitness challenges” that they conduct across the country. In June 2024 they will release a book entitled “Dream Again: Phil and Amy’s 90 Day Fitness Challenge” and a companion DVD.

When it was first suggested to me that my son Rhett might have autism I instantly thought about Raymond on the movie “Rain Man.” Suddenly my life became about trying to “fix” Rhett. So I went out in search of every therapy, diet, and program I could find to do this. I soon learned the reason that they call autism a “spectrum” disorder. (more…)

Interview with Amy Parham, Eliminated Biggest Loser Week 6

Last night, Biggest Loser said goodbye to its little Southern belle. Husband Phil is likely to miss that sweet drawl more than any other player, and as such, they’re going to have to deal with him now. Amy Parham‘s parting words were that her teammates made a mistake by assuming her husband would be weaker with her out of the house, it would only make him stronger.

Phil and Amy are college sweethearts, they met at their freshman orientation and she says after the second date she was in love. Their devotion for one another was quite clear on the show, and the love pours over into their three boys. Upon arriving home, Amy says her kids have embraced the new lifestyle. Her middle son is 11 years old, and the only one she says has had trouble with his weight, even saying kids at school have made fun of him. Since she has returned home he’s lost 10 pounds, two pant sizes and even goes to the gym with Amy and Phil.
