+I tried BistroMD from a Klutch box promotion. I find that after eating a breakfast and lunch that I'm not that hungry for dinner. And the munchies I had previously are gone. Its great for an on the go life that doesn't have much time for preparing meals.

+This plan is great. The cost is high, but SO worth it. I love not having to spend hours shopping, planning, and preparing meals for me, in addition to the meals I am already making for the family-- just heat, eat, and lose weight-- fantastic!

+Love this program! I'm losing weight at a normal pace, and I like the convenience of the meals. Delivery is always on time and the food is frozen. You can customize a bit by going online and removing certain foods you don't like. Meals offered have a good variety and aren't boring.

Highly, highly recommend. Food is delicious. It's real food frozen, vs frozen food. Generous, balanced portions. For me, it's like a personal chef. I don't have to worry about whether I'm eating "right." I cleaned out my fridge and BistroMD is all I have in the house. Easy to stick to and effective. Very happy.

+First of all, the quality and flavor of the meals are incredible. If it doesn't taste good you won't stay with it. Lost 21 pounds so far and feel great. Thanks

+I've been on the BistroMD 5 day plan without snacks for more than 12 weeks, and have seen significant weight loss after I plateaued on my own.
posted Aug 8th, 2013 10:09 pmSeveral times I have contacted customer service and received a courteous, prompt response. I also have spoken with a dietician about the specifics of the calories included in my meals and recommended snacks to accompany the plan.
I am a busy working mother to a small child, and BistroMD makes losing the last 20 pounds something that I can code into my day with little thought or effort. Flavor, variety, and service do cost, and it's a price I'm willing to pay to take charge of my health.

+I like not having to think about what food to shop for and what to eat. I am so excited about about the weight loss possibilities and controlling my diabetes!

+I'm starting my 5th week today. In 4 weeks, I've lost 15 pounds. I'm doing about 1700 calories per day. The portions are adequate and most meals are pretty tasty. The convenience of not having to cook comes at the cost of prepared meals FedExed to the home - but it's the price we'll pay for now, to ensure we get food we should eat in the right portion sizes. As we get further along, we'll start a hybrid program of BistroMD meals and homemade meals and then finally, all homemade meals. I would recommend this program.

+I've been using BistroMD for about 6 months, and have had good results with it (have lost about 40 lbs, with about 40 to go). If you stick to the food they provide and exercise regularly, it's a great way to lose weight quickly (I supplement with my own snacks, found theirs to be great but too pricey). The food is generally quite good, as long as you are a big fan of LOTS of vegetables, you won't feel denied too badly.
posted Aug 6th, 2013 11:23 pmMy only true criticisms are the following:
1) Their selections could be made more diverse on a weekly basis. Having chicken every single day for lunch gets to be pretty exhausting. Also, they seem to go overboard with the same vegetable, often offering almost no variety. After several weeks of virtually no other vegetable than spinach, I had to go in and cancel every single entree that has spinach, because I will never be able to eat cooked spinach again for at least 10 years.
2) While their on-line preferences continue to improve, they aren't really there yet until I at least have the option of actually picking my own menu options. Right now you can tell them what you don't want, but there's little control beyond that.
3) Their prices are very high, with the cost per meal coming out at about $10 each. I'm quite happy to pay this as long as I'm getting good results, but will admit that after extended periods of time of poor variety (see gripes #1 & 2 above) starts to grind on you, and after the eight egg-white omelet in a row, $10 per meal starts to seem excessive. They offer, on occasion, "Free shipping for life" which is a nice way to reduce the pain of the expense. Fine print is you lose that the second you have to pause shipments. I have to pause them quite often because I travel a lot, and the food would otherwise sit on my porch and spoil. I've done the 5 days per week plan for about 6 months, so that means I've spent $3600. Seems like they could give loyal customers a break at some point.
All in all, though, I really feel the food is of far better quality than I could go buy in the frozen section of the grocery store; I love the convenience (and temptation reduction) of not having to shop for myself so much; and I'm losing weight -- all things that make me give BistroMD a big thumbs up -- just back off on the spinach, guys!

+I agree with nearly all the feedback I've seen here. The cost is high, but not TOO much higher than shopping for quality ingredients. The convenience and peace of mind that comes from not having to worry about portion control make the program worth it in my eyes.
posted Aug 6th, 2013 6:15 pmI started my journey with a couple weeks of South Beach Phase 1, then moved to BistroMD as my "Phase 2." My weight loss has continued, and I'm within sight of my ultimate goal.
I'll be interested to see how I am able to transition away from BistroMD. I'm about to downsize from the 7-day plan to the 5-day plan in an effort to see if I've actually learned anything--or if I'll just yo-yo back to my bad habits.
Regardless, the food is tasty and although there are occasionally runs of 'lots of chicken' or 'lots of fish,' if you have an open-minded palate, there's no reason you can't be successful with BistroMD!

+I decided to try Bistro MD to try to understand how I should be eating. It's just my first week but the food is really good! I've been completely satisfied and pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to sign up & the food choices are not boring. I highly recommend giving Bistro MD a try.

+I choose bistroMD, mainly for convenience without the hassle of cooking dinner and grocery shopping on my own for every meal. I am not a picky eater and appreciate a variety of flavors. Overall, I have been very pleased with the quality of meals. For example these meals are whole muscle meat portions (not the compressed chicken 'breasts' you receive in TV dinners) and the creative use of spices in vegetables and sauce combinations are gourmet! The breakfasts are amazing and involve much more detail and than I would do for myself. If I may offer a piece of advice to those on the program or considering the program, it would be to try all of the bistroMd meal options at least once. Then if you receive a meal and it isn't your favorite, it is easy to exclude it from your future shipments using their online preference selections. You may surprise yourself and discover a new found liking to brussels sprouts (like I did!).

+I've had a great experience with Bistro MD. The meals taste great, are easy to heat up, and the portions are reasonable. Customer service has been flexible and easy to work with. I don't use Bistro MD to diet but to maintain my current weight as I struggle with portion control and don't like to cook. Overall, I would recommend the service if you can make it work within your budget. Food is important to me, so I do!

+I've been on BistroMD for 3 weeks now. I've been traveling a lot for work, so I haven't fully committed to the program. A big reason for me signing up was the convenience of having a good variety of nutritious meals available, and also to help lose weight. I have lost 4 lbs, which is great for me considering I'm doing this when I'm at home only. I am on the 5 day women's plan with no snacks. The cost is a bit high for me, but the food quality and taste is much better than the alternatives (I've been on Jenny, Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, Medifast). Some of it I can't wait to try again (meatloaf with sweet potato fries were my favorite). Also, every meal looks complete and almost gourmet style - I love their vegetables! I agree with others that some dishes you may want to have some sea salt or hot sauce nearby. My first week on the plan there were too many chicken dishes - I called customer service and asked to have more vegetarian options added. I find if there is a lot of chicken, I won't eat the food. I get sick of it easily, even if it's cooked a variety of ways. Customer service at BistroMD is amazing. I do have to set a reminder on my calendar now in the event I have to put my order on hold - they do ship automatically and you have to let them know if you don't want an order for a particular week. I have nothing but positive experiences with their customer service and that makes me want to stay on the plan longer. In a few weeks, I stop my summer travels and will be committed on the 5 day plan. I can't wait to see what my results will be!

+I highly recommend Bistro MD. Although costly, this program offers good tasting meals that are quick to prepare with just the right amount of carbs and proteins to help you lose weight. And having the ability to select preferences in the event a particular meal is not to your liking is a great feature. I have also found their customer service to be very friendly and responsive.
