+I love detox body wraps. I've had a couple at the Brazil Bronze Glow Bar in SOHO and definitely leave feeling lighter and healthier! BuywithmeNYC is selling sessions for just $49 right now (a $60 value)! If you're interested, check out this link:

I made an appointment for my first detox body wrap. Any suggestions before I go?

i perform aloe vera body wraps and i measure properly and you must drink plenty of water because the wrap penetrated the fat cells to move toxins from fat cells to the lymph system; new fat will go away faster than older fat which takes more time cause its been there longer; u can think of it like a washing machine before the rinse cycle if u dont rinse it it will just be dirty water

+A lot of people don't understand this ISN'T a weight loss item. It IS an inch loss product though. Trust me, it worked. I measured before and after to make sure I wasn't getting jipped. I lost an inch and a half in an hour. I plan to be using it a lot more!

+I have done this treatment only once and I lost an inch. I'm already very skinny, but had a baby so I had a small pudge. The product even says it's not making you lose water weight, its a detox. I'd recommend it most definately.

I agree with those who say it's not a permanent thing, you are losing water weight. The best way to lose weight is exercising and a proper diet......sorry guys there's no quick permanent solution for losing weight if you want a nice body you gotta work hard for it.

Haven't tried this one, but have tried the site specific detox patch and in 45 minutes, lost 4-1/4 inches and have kept it off.

+True, Body Wraps are not for weight loss - they are for inch loss. And let me tell you, they do work! If you just want to look great for a certain event, date, etc. then one wrap will do. But if you want to make a "body change", then you need to do a series of wraps - say 6 to 10 wraps. I would suggest you do them 3 or 4 times a week. When you get to where you want to be, then you can do "maintenance wraps" once or twice a month, until you reach a point where you do not have do them but only on rare occasion. In order to do these wraps, you will need to purchase your own at-home body wrap kit. They are simple to do with a little practice. There are many great body wrap sites to choose from on the internet, but I suggest:

You will get more product for your money, and goodness knows in these times a person needs to get value for their money!

+trust me i was skeptical as well. But it definately worked/ Not only did I lose 5 " off my thighs on my first wrap I have measured daily for 1 month to see if the results lasted. They did. I will be doing this again.

Generally speaking, the weight loss from wraps (if there is any) is because you are wrapped in something warm and kept warm for an hour without drinking anything. You're just sweating out water weight. It can make your skin softer and make you a touch more svelte for a few hours, but it isn't at all permanent. Once you drink water, you stop being dehydrated, and boom, weight comes back. Also, dehydration can increase your apparent cellulite, so while this might be great for squeezing into the sexy little cocktail dress, don't even think about doing a wrap to look good in your bikini (unless you've done it before and had no problems with increased cellulite). It's a nice pampering treatment, but it really won't provide any weight loss benefits, just softer skin and a more relaxed body.

the body wrap at the spa is bogus and it only makes you think the miracle is happening. I actually gained a pound and saw no inch loss in the areas she measured. Then I was told it was my fault I was minerally depleted. -Wow fat and minerally depleted didn't compute for me. This was at suddenly slimmer in La Jolla with the ceiling falling in. But the people were nice and didn't offer me the free second wrap as advertised for not losing the inches. 266+ down the drain. Oh well I tried a lil something for me.

OK I was very sceptical. I ordered the Detox wrap and continued to read up on wraps. I found a recipe using Salt, green tea and aloe vera gel. While waiting for my order I did a "homemade recipe" wrap. The next day I received the Hollywood Detox wrap. Below are the results of both. I have been dieting with a steady loss of 1 or 2 lbs a week but my skin was getting very, very loose. Pre wrap totals - 286.5 inches Wrap #1 (Salt) - 283.5 inches Wrap #2 (Detox) - 272.5 inches 2 days after (no wrap)- 269 inches As m said it is one or so inches off several areas. I measured the following - Upper chest Lower chest Waist Hips Thighs Calves I don't know how well it would work on someone who is pretty solid already, but I am a believer for tightening sagging skin. 5 star product.
