FucoTHIN is a weight loss supplement based on centuries old science. A part of the Garden of Life roster of supplements, internal cleansing products and whole food nutraceuticals, FucoTHIN is an acronym for Fucoxanthin, a carotenoid found in brown and olive green colored seaweeds.
Numerous clinical studies have been conducted on the health benefits of Fucoxanthin. Most notably a study of mice at Hokkaido University in Japan, whereby Fucoxanthin generated a thermogenic effect in the fatty tissue of mice. We generally know thermogenises to be a good thing, as this means we are elevating our internal fat burning abilities, however, this is usually done at a price. For instance, caffeine has a thermogenic effect, by stimulating the central nervous system, but for most, the jitters and the sleepless nights make thermogenic supplements too much to handle. This makes FucoTHIN an excellent choice for those who want thermogenesis without the side-effects.
While clinical trials on humans have yet to be published, the folks at Garden of Life are committed to producing products that support an individual's whole body health, including healthy weight management.
Do You Know the Best Diet Pills of 2024?
- FucoTHIN is all-natural with no stimulants
- While not certified organic, Garden of Life emphasizes organic products and principles, including the organic nature of where the seaweed extract is sourced from
- FucoTHIN is a product that works in tandem with Garden of Life's philosophy of consuming foods that are biblical in nature, and thereby marketable to the religious consumer
- Healthy calorie consumption of 1800 calories/day
- FucoTHIN is not vegetarian/vegan (gelatin capsules are the delivery method)
- Supplement does not provide appetite suppression
- User must still engage in a healthy meal plan and sustained activity in order for weight loss to be realized
FucoTHIN has an all-natural proprietary blend of ingredients that includes pomegrantate seed oil and brown seaweed. Other ingredients include gelatin and purified water.
FucoTHIN's website says nothing about menu, but does recommend an 1800 calorie diet. For most users, especially those that are not physically active, this calorie level might be too high. As well, the user is on their own to calculate daily caloric intake, which can be difficult to do and time consuming.
Interestingly, Garden of Life's website did have some recipes and their explanation of whole foods and choosing organic foods is one that is comprehensive and easy to understand.
None recommended, which is too bad, as an 1800 calorie diet with activity would be an excellent combination for weight loss in a majority of healthy individuals.
While the website is careful to not overpromise, there have been published clinical trials on Fucoxanthin and it's ability, along with other potent antioxidants, to combat some types of cancer cells.
This natural blend is based on the idea of using things from the earth, as Garden of Life is a faith-based company. These ingredients should not have any side effects, and when coupled with healthy eating and exercise, should yield weight loss results.

It's great, it works, but I am a little concerned that it is working too well.
posted Sep 23rd, 2010 4:15 amMy weight didn't change much, but I dropped 4 dress sizes, got much more toned in less than a month and I only take one pill a day! It's too fast.
I am still on my regular junk food diet, same amount of exercise. So, it's probably making it so much faster for me to gain muscle (which is awesome and worrisome at the same time).

I recently started Fucothin (2 pills 3 times a day with food) and have been experiencing mild/severe migraines, this concerns me as I have never experienced migraines in the past. A side from this very unpleasant side effect I have not noticed any other adverse reaction. Has anyone else had this experience and if so are you aware of any ingredients in this product that could be responsible for this?

+I started fucothin less than I week, I've been taking two pills with food 3 times a day, feelling great , I have energy to complete all my cardio workout as well I've noticed I'm not as hungry as i was before, so I can keep going with my diet in a more effective way. I had some weird reaction on the first couple of days. I had some pain when urinating as it was a yeast or bladder infection, I heard other women complaining the same while taking Fucothin, but in my case, it's all gone, and overall I'm feeling great, lots of energy!

+I am 5'4 and when I tried Fucothin a year ago it worked for me. When I began it I was 140lbs, I started with in the first week 1 capsule 3 times a day. After a week I took 3 caps 3 times a day. I also tried to eat pretty well, messing up on weekends. I did work out pretty regularily as well. After 4 months I was down to 127 lbs. So it worked for me. I did stop it at that point, and I did not gain weight again until my own eating and excersise habits got bad. I totally think it works, it did for me. I am going to try it again now.

I have been taking Fuco thin for about 3 weeks now---I have lost a few pounds but what I like the best is it gives me energy---not the jittery kind or the kind that keeps u up all night. I just don't get that afternoon slump anymore. I'll keep taking it even if it doesn't help me lose weight---because if I'm not tired then I feel like exercising

+I used to eat like a bird. Now that I am taking Fucothin, I seem to be a lot more hungry. I lost about an inch a week for the first month. But now I guess I am just eating more, and not losing the weight. But I used to never be able to eat this much food without gaining weight.

Used it for three or four months but saw no change whatsoever, not one pound

+I have been takin' fucothin for about 6 months and have lost over 20 pounds. I try to eat right and excersise. When I take fucothin I see a weight loss of arouund 2 lbs a day. But a downfall I have seen is stop takin' it and the weight comes right back. So it is NOT a ,miarcle drug but it has helped me. But I bet I could keep eatin' and dietin' and the weight would stay off. So that is my fault not the pill

-I'm not overweight and I go to gym twice a week, but I wanted a little help to lose some stubborn fat on my belly and about 5 pounds.. I bought fucothin because it claimed to attack the belly fat in particular. I used fucothin for 3 months. No side effects, but no results either. Lost zero weight, and my belly fat is still with me. Didn't work for me.
