BACKGROUND
If you're looking to curb your appetite, now you can take a shot. Slim Shots triggers the body's natural appetite control mechanism, also known as the ileal brake, satisfying users for long periods of time and in turn, allowing them to eat less, without sacrificing or depriving themselves of tasty foods. You can drink Slim Shots by itself or mix it with your favorite food or drink.
For the best results, you take two shots a day (20 calories each) the first week, then after that, just once during breakfast. Slim Shots is supposed to start working a couple hours after you take it. It has no stimulants, so there are no jittery side effects.
The company rightly advises that you need to do Slim Shots in conjunction with a balanced diet and exercise.

INGREDIENTS
Slim Shots contains natural oat, palm oil, artificial vanilla flavor, sweetener, aspartame (Phenylalanine) and beta carotene color.
Phenylalanine makes of 50% of aspartame, an artificial sweetner commonly used in diet products. ADD/ADHD patients and diabetics may experience negative side effects as a result of consuming this ingredient. Those with PKU, or at risk for PKU, should avoid Phenylalanine as it can cause brain damage or even death.
EXERCISE
Unlike many other supplement websites, the Slim Shots site gives relatively in-depth nutritional advice. The exercise advice is very rudimentary: Commit to work out three times a week for 30 to 45 minutes. It also advises that you join a fitness class or devise a home workout routine that incorporates both aerobic and strength training.
CONCLUSION
The editorial tone on the Slim Shots website doesn't lead you to believe that the company is in the snake oil business. There are clinical studies posted, and good advice about how you should eat and exercise. Even though the language is not over-hyped, there still is some question as to how Slim Shots actually works.
Ultimately, it's up to the consumer to decide if it's worth, um, a shot.

+only took like 4 of them one in the morning and one at lunch time and it work, I usually in the morning I'm starved but I didn't realize I hadn't eaten til hours later. I have some faith because these actually work. I am really impressed that my apettite decrease. You never know until you try them! day by day it been 3 days and I control my self more eat less and not hungry. Try the new chocolate flavor.

+I was leery of trying this product at first, but I liked the fact that there are only three ingredients in it, inlcuding the aspartame. I don't mind the taste so much. It has an almond-y or oat flavor in my opinion. I have only been using it for a week-and-a-half,and I've lost three pounds, so I will continue to use it. I do need both shots per day, and I was actually wondering if it would be safe to use three shots/day. It doesn't say anything on the box about taking more than two/day.

just bought mine yesterday, I don't know if it will work or not, but it doesn't taste very good, so if you mix a couple of drops of chocolate syrup with it, it taste much better. I only have about 10 pounds to loose.

-It only works because it taste disgusting and you can't get the disgusting taste out of your mouth so ofcourse you lose your appetite.

+i have been taking the slim shot drinks for 5 weeks now and i have lost 10lbs its great. i didnt like the taste at first it was horrid but i gave it a go and i really enjoy them. Dont just not do it because of the taste. i got use to it so will you. i feel great its the best thing i have done so far

+I clicked on "I like it" but I have mixed feelings. These taste rancid. .I don't know if that is normal or if they really are rancid. They do not taste at all sweet. I am mixing mine with yogurt (doesn't disguise the taste much) What's good about it: I have to say that I don't have the appetite. I have lost 2 lbs in about 4 days.

The taste, is AWFUL! Basically like melted playdough, but the results are very noticable. After one day of using, I did notice a big difference in my appetite, but I decided to go the hard way, because of the awful, awful taste. Some may not mind the taste, but I know I did.

+This is my 2nd week on SlimShots and I'm pleasantly pleased! I've lost 4 pounds and my clothes are feeling less snug. I'm only trying to lose 10 pounds and I'm almost half way there. The taste isn't horrible, I drink mine straight. I'm still drinking two a day because that seems to be working for me. I'm eating less, no snacking and no cravings. I can honestly say its working!

-The taste is terrible and I am still very hungry. I am on a diet and therefore I may have lost some pounds but I am sure it was not because of these Slim Shots. I feel like I've just wasted my money! I don't recommend it!

My Mothers been doing these shots once a day and its been a month for her and shes lost 20lbs without exercising . Go to walmart and get these! they are cheap and have some faith because these actually work. My husband is now taking them and hes really impressed as well. You never know til you try them!

I started 4 days ago. I'm not "overweight" but I've gained about 15 lbs over the last 9yrs. I'd like to lose 10. I've lost 3 lbs so far. Not exercising yet. However, today I started feeling strange & decided to investigate.

posted Jun 17th, 2009 5:25 amI had this idea years ago. My gimmick was a 6-pack of liquids, each bottle for a specific time of day (before & in-between meals). However, it was just water (no artificial flavorings or sweetners).
Glad to see some folks realize it's just another gimmick and it still takes healthy lifestyle with appropriate balance calorie intake vs calorie output to make body composition changes.

+When I saw that this product was vegan I was super excited! I had to try it. I have such a hard time losing any weight. I started taking this 2 days ago. The first day it helped me not eat nearly as much of my lunch, and then when I went out for my favorite thing ever (sushi!) I didn't eat anywhere as much as I usually do. Yesterday it satisfied my cravings all day. I ended up eating one hearty meal and a small lunch. So far I've lost 2 pounds in 2 days. I hope it continues!
