Artificial Flavors: This unnatural ingredient is added to help provide a certain flavor that would be difficult to preserve. It can be extracted from many things including tar, oil, and chemicals.
Our review experts have compiled a comprehensive list of the highest rated weigh loss diets.
Gum Arabic: This sap taken from the acacia tree is used to help stabilize and thicken other ingredients as well as provide fiber. It can potentially cause side effects such as:
• Breathing issues.
• Skin lesions.
• Bloating, gas, and loose stools.
Sucralose: Synthetic sweetener that is used to substitute sugar. It’s up to 1,000 times sweeter than regular table sugar. A clinical review featured in the Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health reviewed sucralose and found:
“exerted numerous adverse effects, including reduction in beneficial fecal microflora, increased fecal pH, and enhanced expression levels of P-gp”
This study showed it has a serious damaging effect on the body. P-gp is only released when a contaminant enters. This means it is treated as a contaminant.
Green Coffee Extract (Svetol): A patented form of unroasted coffee bean. It’s used to help raise metabolism via its caffeine and chlorogenic acids. Possible side effect may include:
• Insomnia, headaches, and difficulty concentrating.
• Nervousness, anxiety, and restlessness.
• Insomnia, difficulty breathing, and rapid heart rate.
• Ringing in the ears, vomiting, and upset stomach.
Oolong Tea Extract: This tea is made from the camellia sinensis plant. It’s included due to its natural caffeine which is used to improve alertness and increase metabolism.
It can lead to side effects similar to the ones listed in the Green Coffee Bean Extract (Svetol) section.
Guarana Extract: The seeds of this plant contain stimulants such as theobromine and caffeine. They help to stimulate the central nervous system and aid weight loss. Web MD adds:
“Guarana is POSSIBLY UNSAFE when taken by mouth in high doses for a long time”
“LIKELY UNSAFE and even deadly, due to its caffeine content, when taken by mouth… in very high doses”
It can lead to side effects such as:
• Tremors, jitters, and nausea.
• Delirium, rapid heart rate, and high blood pressure.
• Agitation, anxiety, and ringing in the ears.
Green Tea Extract: This substance is added to help increase metabolism and promote fat burning. It contains caffeine and the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health mentions:
“There have been some case reports of liver problems in people taking concentrated green tea extracts”
Furthermore, though it’s used for weight loss:
“There are not enough reliable data to determine whether green tea can aid in weight loss”
Guggul Gum Resin: Extract taken from the mukul tree. It is added to help lower both triglycerides and cholesterol. Web MD adds:
“It can cause side effects such as stomach upset, headaches, nausea, vomiting, loose stools, diarrhea, belching, and hiccups”

AdvoCare 24-Day Challenge Quality of Ingredients
Stimulants, binders, thickeners, and cheap processed ingredients are added to the supplements offered. This makes it a very poor assortment of supplements. There are also so many different varieties one must use that it can make keeping up with supplementation difficult.
Many of the supplements aren’t necessary either. The 6 total products are meant to cleanse and provide well-rounded weight loss benefits, but the ingredients aren’t all high quality. There’s a possibility for unwanted side effects in each item one chooses.
The Price and Quality of AdvoCare 24-Day Challenge
The total 6 supplements, workout DVD series, nutrition guide, tools, and online coaching cost $195.70. This is of course for 24 days total of products and support. Two additional supplements are also advised but not required, this raises the price even further with each brand ranging $31.50 to $37.95.
Due to the lack of quality ingredients and many possible side effects, it’s a very poor mixture of supplements. There’s a possibility for side effects due to the stimulants provided.
It’s also very expensive to use the AdvoCare 24-Day Challenge. Overall it’s a highly priced combination of many cheap additives. For a comprehensive listing of the top ranked weight loss diets, click the link cited.

I’ve done the 28 day challenge several times over the past few years and LOVE it and the results!! You have to put efforts into eating clean and you WILL see results and quickly. It’s not a ‘diet’. It is a kick start for your metabolism and you have to continue to eat well AFTER the 28days are up. It’s meant, at least for me, to give you an amazing beginning to eating better for GOOD. Not for just now. It is really meant to give you a jumping spot to change your life and giving you visual results very quickly....as long as you STICK TO IT. Good luck and I 100% stand behind Advocare as well as the results.

I had great results. As with ANY diet, try small doses at first to see how you react. To the lady who stated that she spents "thousands with no results", well I personally would not keep investing in something that wasnt giving me results.
posted Jul 24th, 2018 5:18 pmI am also a nurse and I would suggest that you introduce each item one at a time for several days, that way if you have a reaction, you KNOW which product that it is related to.

I love advocare. I stumbled on it completely by accident. Needed energy one day and someone handed me a spark. Changed my life. From there i ordered the 24 day challeneg. Ilost 15 pounds and for someone who is 5 feet tall 15 pounds makes a huge difference. I signed up to be a distributor after that. Visit my website lindacaresbyadvo.com

i think Advocare teaches people to be more aware of their eating and lifestyle habit. the products overall i don't think really have much to do with the drastic changes. i am pretty much turned off by Advocare advisers and how they push to sell. my friend is a personal trainer and an advisor who pushes the products to her clients. although she claims advocare has helped her tremendously and has helped her moods, what she doesn't tell anyone is that she really contributes her great physique to genetics and clean eating. Also, she's a person with high anxiety and takes anti depressants to keep her moods at bay. I know another advisor who swears by Advocare and also contributes her great physique to taking supplements. BUT what she doesn't tell you is that she had a tummy tuck and she eats clean. I once too was an Advocare user but they make me sick. My advisor fared no better and to her it was all about sell sell sell with terrible nutritional advice, and fake sincerity about my health. you see, it's all about selling and over glorifying the products with hype, fake sincerity from the advisors, and when you gather a bunch of Advocare users together it just comes off like a weird cult. Found this as an interesting tidbit about Advocare and the athletes they endorse

+I started taking Advocare in Jan of 2001. I was a size 14 had three babies in day care and was struggling to make ends meet. The very first day on product it was like a fog was lifted. When I got home from a long day at work I had enough energy to cook dinner, bath the kids, and even do laundry. Well I went from a size 14 to a size 6 in record time. I did sign up as a distributor just for the discount. Well before I knew it I had a business on my hands. I very quickly surpassed my daytime jobs income. So I quit! Over the next year my income grew to 6 figures and grew rapidly from there. I was blessed to have earned nine trips five star all over the world.i was was also honored as advocates rising star award. This is a very prestiges honor that very few receive. I also was on the cover of their national magazine. Advocare not only got me healthy but taught me life skills to dream bigger and to teach others to do the same. Do to personal reasons I made a decision to walk away from Advocare the business in 2008. ( I still take the products and still ha d many loyal customers and distributors. I just do not work it activity at all. The beauty is that I have not worked on building or maintaining Advocare at all in 8 years and I still make an average of 30k per year on my residual income! Why? Because the products work and people order them again and again. If you would like some advice or a safe place not to get pushed to sell or not to sell. Just someone who can support you on your journey please here is my website www.advocare.com/01013893
