BACKGROUNDBACKGROUND Start the Diet Now Advertisement

Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet was started in 1975, when Dr. Sanford Siegal created a nutritious cookie to help his patients lose weight. The company has evolved over the years, and in 2011 released a new diet plan, the Dr. Siegal's Plan 10X cookie diet. The new version involves a new formulation of cookies, which are smaller and designed to be eaten more frequently. The new plan is less expensive than the classic cookie diet, which is also still available.

Dr. Siegal believes that eating often is the secret to his diet plan, because controlling and preventing hunger makes people less likely to binge and fall off their diets. That's why he created a protein-rich cookie to help reduce the number of calories they consume without feeling deprived.

The Plan 10X cookies are all-natural, kosher and vegetarian. Initial flavors include cinnamon oatmeal, chocolate brownie and maple granola.

CONCLUSIONCONCLUSION

This diet is good for anyone who has a hard time making healthy food choices, because the majority of your meals are already planned out for you. The Dr. Siegal's Plan 10X cookie diet has the same pros and cons as any other meal replacement diet: if you return to eating the way you did before the cookie diet, you will regain the weight. The cookies pack in a good amount of nutrients, and most people can expect to lose 10 to 15 pounds per month.
