I had an opposite experience to Morgan - except it seems we agree on the chocolate chip cookie being fantastic - but I actually think a lot of stuff on their menu is very good. I don't know what thing they had to make someone want to spit it out but I haven't had anything like that at all. I will agree that most of the food arrives looking very unappetizing but It seems like it is because of the vacuum bags more than anything. I was just looking up more info about them because I finished my starter kit and wanted some ideas on hat to order next and this site has so many mixed reviews. It's like a love it or hate it product. Well, I guess I'm in the love it category because there are a few things that I will order in bulk just to always have them around. Namely the Kung Pao, the cookies(all of the BTW), the tortilla soup, the enchiladas, and the mac and cheese.

Just had to post a review of this place...

Let me start by saying I'm not vegan, though I'm sort of vegetarian most of the time. That said, I've eaten and cooked a ton of vegan food in my life (being from Berkeley will do that to you).

This was, hands down, some of THE worst I've ever had. Most of it was flavorless, and whatever wasn't flavorless tasted disgusting.

A good (vegetarian) friend of mine took one bite and literally ran to the bathroom to spit it out.

I expected a lot of well-seasoned, flavorful food with a lot of vegetables. What I got was a few sad bags of greyish brown, nearly inedible ... stuff.

Seriously NOT worth the money.

Oh -- I almost forgot -- the chocolate chip cookie was pretty good.

I got the Slim down back in June when it was called the Summer Slim Down and it ACTUALLY worked. I followed it to a letter and I lost eight pounds in three weeks. The food was sometimes good sometimes ok and sometimes bad depending on the dish. But everything was edible and the results were proof enough.

I am vegan and will eat literally anything vegan, and I'm very eager to promote vegan companies but I could barely eat some of these things. While most things contained tons of protein eat item was loaded with fat and there wasn't a whole grain or vegetable (except maybe two broccoli florets) to be found. I was very disappointed - the idea is great but in terms of flavor and health there is tons of room for improvement.

This is my first time using gobble green but it will not be my last. I ordered a couple of things after a friend of mine recommended them as a way to kick start a vegetarian lifestyle. I am not vegan, but after watching some documentary about slaughtering animals I just can??t eat meat. This is a big change, but something I feel I must do. Ordering food that I know is vegan to help me start this was great. I love the breakfast and am getting used to the other meals. The tortilla soup was the first meal I ate and though it was not as filling as my normal burger and fries, it tasted pretty good. I think Gobble Green will help me get moving in the right direction. I will definitely use them again! The only problem I can for see is that using them will get expensive.

I was one of the starter kit purchasers from Living Social and I haven't loved everything but the value is great. It did take a long time to come (2 weeks) but I liked most of what was in there. Not a fan of the breakfast bar but the chocolate chip pancakes were to die for. Seriously decadent. There were a lot of things that were pretty good but were made perfect with salsa or a little pepper. All in all I would do it again when it popped up in my neck of the woods. Thumbs up from me.

They threatened to sue me for fraud and send my unpaid order for collection if I protested the $241charge on my credit card. They lost the order and refused to give me a refund (order would be useless - I ordered so I could lose a few lbs before vacation) and sent a long threatening email when I said I'd protest the charge. TOXIC COMPANY!!!!

This is the best meal delivery service out there. I get that meal delivery isn??t for everyone but imo Gobble Green is a real lifesaver and it provides such a great service for busy people who are health conscious and who care about animals. The prices are reasonable, the food is yummy and everyone I??ve spoken to over there has been nothing but nice.

Gobble Green is pretty good. I actually like all of the meals in my kit from Living Social except for the BBQ seitan. But, I will say that the key to Gobble Green is not nuking the food. Sometimes the instructions they provided on the meal labels had me overcooking the products. Maybe it was my microwave, maybe it was the instructions, I don??t know. But, if you just monitor how much you heat the food then everything comes out really good. Much better than other frozen food, you can tell it hasn??t been sitting in a warehouse. I think it??s tasty and convenient and it prevents me from overeating. Two thumbs up.

I received my kit today and I think this is so much fun! It came all frozen with a lot of dry ice still in the box. Each item has its own label with nutritional information.Very cool. I transferred it all to the freezer and then shared two of the meals with my husband. We are both full and the food was really good. I had bbq seitan and vegetable paella. The seitan was hearty and flavorful and the seitan was really good. It was a vegetable and rice mix with these tiny chunks of "chicken" in it. The whole thing had a kind of creamy texture. Very delicious. I'll post more as I try it.

The meals actually made me sick. As in a GI sort of way. I didn't want to believe it but the day before I was sick I didn't eat anything except two of the meals. Fast forward two weeks and me not believing it that it made me sick and me eating the last meal I had: the tofu stir fry. Sick. If you're reading this then consider yourself warned before buying a good online deal.

Gobble Green is fantastic. I have lost 5 pounds eating their food just ordering a la carte for one meal per day and it is all so tasty and the portions are perfect. And the customer service has never been bad at all for me. In fact, I have the direct line to a personal representative named Cassandra over there and she is always totally helpful whenever I have questions, at least so far she is really great. And if you want to splurge a little??omg, the fettuccine alfredo is beyond amazing :)

Well, I ordered a week supply of Gobble Green food from a Living Social deal?$125, I believe. And Day 3 of my food choices and I must say that I am NOT impressed. I am a vegan and have been for over 15 years, so I know good vegan food. This stuff was hard, cardboard like and most dishes tasted really vinegary. I even got a tummy ache twice. The desserts were like 3 day old bakery goods, with an apple or banana undertone. I had to throw pretty much everything I ate. Even my kid, who loves food - esp desserts - would not eat it. I am sadly disappointing. I really wanted to like this and support what they are doing, but I just can??t stomach the food. Sorry.

Horrible customer service. The one out of two orders that I actually received contained items that I never ordered and omitted nearly half of what I did order. They do not reply to emails or phone calls promptly and have still not refunded my money for the second order that never arrived. BEWARE!

Just wanted to drop a note to let people know that I have been ordering from Gobble green for almost six months and I am consistently satisfied with their offerings. Now, I am a vegan and a very picky person so I have only ordered things individually or by 4 or dozen. I have never gotten a kit or a meal plan, even though I see their ads for it in my inbox all the time. I have favorites from them just like some of my favorite restaurants and home cooked meals. Old favorites include Kung Pao, Mac and Cheese, Chili, muffins, Chocolate Chip Pancakes, and Tortilla soup. I also really love the paella and the enchiladas for some recently added items. I have only received sub par items once and they quickly corrected the error (someone didn't put enough dry ice in the box so they reshipped). All in all, it's been very good so far.

Horrible, that one word sums it up, but I will go on to say that I am vegan and not a picky person. The food was almost inedible, many items in my box were missing labels and I had no clue what they were. Everything was dry and tasteless. I am going to try and contact the company for a partial reimbursement.

I got the same deal through groupon but it was only $129 with shipping and I thought everything was pretty tasty. I didn't get anywhere close to the same menu as the last person but I liked a few of the things she didn't. Like the brownie, maybe it was from a different batch, was like fudge. So good! Also, the muffin was like the best thing ever. The scrambled eggs needed a little salt but they were pretty good too. I would agree with most people on here that the majority of their items are good and a few are bad. I still say the kit was worth it to try. I was thinking about one of their things where you pick what you want so I could only get the good stuff. Like the kung pao. <---amazing.

I bought their food through a group on and had spent almost $200 and it was terrible. 1. Green Chili- tasted tangy and funky
2. Green Beans and potatoes had raw potatoes that were hard as rocks 3. Curry soup was just yellow water and tofu-- no flavor whatsoever 4. Banana nut muffin was raw in middle 5. Peanut butter bar was flavorless 6. Brownie was really dried out 7. Scrambled eggs had a funky after taste 8. Carrot muffin was completely dried out
I contacted customer service who said they would credit me back for the meals however they never did and now after two mos. and 4 voice mails and 4 emails I can't get them to call back. I would never order from again. Buyer Beware!

Just got my kit last week and I couldn't be happier so far! I have always been a vegetarian and am trying to go vegan as much as possible lately and the stress of not having to read labels at the grocery store is gone. I work long hours so this works for me so far because I don't have much time to cook or shop so I can just come home and throw something in the micro. I am not eating it as they suggest because I am not eating their lunches at lunch time. I am using them for dinner. Also, I have only had two of the breakfasts so far because I have to leave in the morning so early. Anyway, very convenient and pretty good. Much better than microwaveable store bought meals anyway.
