Insanity Workout is a 10-DVD fitness program created by Shaun T, a personal trainer who is determined to push you past your fitness limits.
Insanity Workout features plyometric drills on top of nonstop intervals of strength, power, resistance, and ab and core training moves. No equipment or weights are needed so you can do the workouts in your home or at the gym.
Each of the ten DVDs' workouts are built on Shaun's own MAX Interval Training program, which keeps you constantly challenged as you alternate between aerobic and anaerobic intervals.
The Insanity Workout DVDs also come with a nutrition plan, a fitness guide, a calendar to chart your goals and progress and offers you access to online expert advice.
The Insanity Workout promises to transform your body in 60 days, if the program is followed correctly.
The Insanity Workout's nutrition plan, the Elite Nutrition plan, is designed to fuel your body for the intense workouts while also helping you lose weight.
The plan focuses on eating a low glycemic and low starch diet that emphasizes consuming a lean protein at each meal and snack. The right kinds of fats in moderate portions are also emphasized.
EXERCISE
The 10-DVD Insanity Workout set is not for those who don't like to sweat. These intense workouts challenge you and require discipline and strength of will as you work your way through each of the workouts.
The result is that you may burn up to 1,000 calories in an hour and get the rock-hard body you desire in 60 days.
The ten Insanity Workouts are:
1: Dig Deeper (also includes a Fit Test to evaluate your fitness level and progress) 2. Plyometric Cardio Circuit 3. Cardio Power and Resistance 4. Cardio Recovery and Max Recovery 5. Pure Cardio and Abs 6. Cardio Abs 7. Core Cardio and Balance 8. Max Interval Circuit 9. Max Interval Plyo 10. Max Cardio Conditioning and Abs
CONCLUSION
The Insanity Workout by personal trainer Shaun T is an extremely challenging and intense fitness program that includes 10 different workout DVDs that are designed to transform your body in just 60 days.
While you don't need to invest any money in a gym membership or special exercise equipment to perform the exercises, you do need a hefty amount of self-discipline and will to complete the grueling but results-friendly workouts.

Will INSANITY work for children?
This insanity thing seems great and all but my child, who is kind of on the round side, would like to do it with me and I'd like to know, can she do it with me? Will it work for her? She is twelve years old. Any answer would help. Thanks!
is insanity really not for beginners?
I just got insanity. But after doing research I think I got the wrong program. Is insanity really not for beginners? I was about to get p90x but the sales man recommended insanity to loose weight. He said that p90x is more for ppl that r fit n more to gain muscle instead of loosing weight.
I finished the Insanity program and while it was a challenge, I didn't see the results I was hoping for - yes, everything is firmer and I have excellent endurance now but the overall loss in inches or soreness didn't compare to the JM programs. I'm thinking about trying turbofire next or a kettlebell program.

Kristine,
You are such an inspiration and you have such a great attitude! Keep up the good work and I'm sure it will pay off.
I have just started this workout and came in at 207 lbs with the motivation to lose that weight. I had weak knees, tired body; I am not incapable just FAT. A week strong and I look forward to more every day I have pushed myself like I haven't in 2 years. Any beginner CAN definately do this if they know they're READY. Very insane. I love it. Definately consult a doctor to see if it's ok if you have history of heart, knee problems but otherwise, just do it like NIKE. I feel like I'm becoming a different person...energy is up, motivation is crazy, and my body is transforming.....AWESOME!

This workout is truly insane. It requires a lot of discipline. The warm up will even give you a blow. I encourage you to do the program and stick with it. Shaun is an excellent motivator that does not use all the cave man yelling. I guarantee that you will be pleased with you results. PROS: cost, variety of exercises, length of each video, no extra equipment needed. CON: can be hard on the knees. I strongly recommend Insanity if your goal is to shed a few pounds, tone the body, and improve your blood pressure.

This is serious business right here. Cancel that gym membership and do this. I don't care what anyone says this works and i'm just on day 5 and i'm feeling the difference. it will NOT be easy so don't think this is some magic pill. you have to work.

One Word. Insanity. I am literally watching my body transform before my eyes. Definately NOT a beginner workout regime though. You might have to work up to this if you are not used to fitness. This is high intensity!
